Eaton's IS AER ITD Interconnect Aerospace division is currently seeking a Materials Supervisor.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105225.03 - $154330.04 a year.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for determining and leading the implementation of policies and procedures (standard work) for tactical procurement of materials. This position will interface with the Aerospace Sourcing team, plant operations, and other supply chain functions in support of efforts to build strong supplier relationships that deliver reduced costs and inventory, and improved service. This position reports to the site Supply Chain Manager and leads a team of buyers and the Stock Room team. The position will also have tactical purchasing responsibilities to support ongoing needs.

  • This role must work on-site daily at our Camarillo, California manufacturing site. Relocation/ remote work is not available for this role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Implement, and maintain procurement systems and procedures.

  • Provide education and training to plant materials and purchasing personnel on current purchasing systems and techniques.

  • Work closely with Engineering to Source Site specific materials and short-supply materials as well as New Product Development and End-of-Life (EOL) analysis.

  • Lead and support cost savings initiatives and projects

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the movement of materials through the sales cycle to accurately forecast future production plans.

  • Ensure the team of buyers successfully manages material shortages, backlogs, quality issues, and potential schedule interruptions or delivery delays.

  • Track and monitor metrics that reflect customer satisfaction, lead time management, inventory DOH, and other metrics as required (such as SOTD daily Inventory value, Past Due Orders, SOTD, GRIR and critical component supply levels)

  • Administer formal supplier improvement process to include quantitative supplier performance measures for quality and delivery performance.

  • Develop and implement techniques, which maximize our purchase value and minimize the risk of unfavorable variances. Coordinate the establishment of our standard costs of purchased materials.

  • Lead the inventory planning for the outside purchased finished goods.

  • Lead the Stock Room team and all the Inventory related activities ensuring rapid flow of material to the floor and inventory accuracy.

  • Manage the procurement of project tooling, MRO supplies, and finished goods as required.

  • Tactical buying responsibilities for critical commodities as required.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in supply chain planning/purchasing in a manufacturing environment.

  • Previous 1+ years supervising or management experience leading a team.

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship.

  • Must currently reside within 50 miles of Camarillo, California. Relocation is not available for this role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or Marketing from an accredited institution.

  • Five (5) years of progressive planning or buying experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proactive Leader managing internal Manufacturing teams.

  • Previous experience working in Aerospace sector.

  • APICS / CPIM Certified a plus.

  • Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is preferred.

  • Experience monitoring and improving supplier performance.

  • SAP Experience supporting manufacturing materials/ procurement.

  • Inventory Management Knowledge/ expertise.

  • Strong Leadership skills.

  • Aptitude for learning Computer software systems.

  • Administrative skills

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
