Arcosa Wind Towers is seeking a Materials Supervisor for our Belen, NM operation. In this role, you will oversee the efficient management of materials used in the production process. This role involves coordinating material procurement with the supply chain team and Materials Manager, monitoring inventory levels, ensuring timely deliveries of materials, and collaborating with suppliers. The supervisor works to optimize material flow, minimize shortages, and contribute to the overall smooth functioning of the manufacturing operations. This role reports to the Materials Manager.

Location: Belen, NM

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure accuracy and organization of all tower parts inventory, overseeing the execution of the Cycle Count program.

  • Collaborate with the Materials Manager in monitoring the Shortage Report and efficiently managing the Red Tag / Non-Compliant warehouse.

  • Supervise weekly Material Usage Variance counts and reporting, contributing to the success of the semi-annual physical inventory.

  • Coordinate the unloading and receipt of all inbound shipments, overseeing the efficient handling of paperwork.

  • Supervise material handlers in loading outbound shipments, including tower loading and shipping, ensuring accurate paperwork completion.

  • Cultivate a safe and efficient work environment within the team, emphasizing adherence to material procedures and policies.

  • Take charge of all receiving personnel and functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of incoming materials.

  • Oversee the adherence to receiving processes, guaranteeing accurate completion of paperwork for entry into BPCS.

  • Regularly observe and monitor inventory to prevent shortages and support the Materials Manager in overall departmental objectives.

What You'll Need:

  • Associate degree or equivalent education.

  • 3-5 years of experience in materials management, including 1+ years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

  • Ability to operate machinery used by the team (mi jack straddle cranes, forklifts, mobile manlift, etc.)

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Effective team collaboration skills with attention to detail.

  • Process-driven and dedicated to continuous improvement.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position

  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate 3 shifts and frequent weekend shifts

  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays

  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
