The Materials Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehousing, shipping, receiving and handling of raw materials to support production. Supervises transportation of materials to and from departments and ensures material needs are met throughout the organization. Is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and collaborate on root cause analysis to prevent inventory discrepancies. Materials Supervisor provides hands-on support, leadership, and direction to their direct reports. This position offers challenging circumstances, which require quick thinking and problem-solving methods to properly manage and support operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote action-oriented safety culture embracing safety as a core value, instilling and exemplifying a safety mindset for all Team Members resulting in an incident-free workplace.

  • Direct, supervise and coordinate hourly team members in all aspects of proper methodology in receiving purchased parts, storage, material flow, and servicing parts as needed.

  • Responsible for tracking performance using departmental metrics, as well as organizing inventory records for future reference.

  • Continuously improve the unloading, receiving, and storing processes for production materials.

  • Act as a liaison for ongoing communication among material handlers to promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

  • Participate in the inventory process by keeping accurate materials counts.

  • Use of basic Lean Tools according to EMS, to drive real-time problem-solving in support of attaining departmental metrics (SQCD).

  • Self-motivated with the ability to make data-driven decisions to take ownership of departmental performance and drive daily operations.

  • Responsible for meeting production schedule in accordance with established standards and scheduling commitments from planning meetings and directives.

  • Perform administrative duties as required such as Kronos and attendance tracking.

  • Must be able to walk warehouse area for the majority of work shift. Work shift may extend beyond 8 hours in overtime situations, including weekends or alternate work schedule arrangements.

  • Must be able to work at using computer, routinely answering phone, or radio and effective use of other office equipment.

  • Be available 30 minutes prior to and after shift to ensure a timely shift transition.

  • Other customary and typical duties assigned that would be reasonable for a supervisor in a similar environment.

  • High School Diploma required

  • 5 plus years' experience in Materials and Warehousing operations

  • Proficient in Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Previous experience with plant startups, is a plus

VIEW JOBS 8/27/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-11-25T00:00 Process Technician SUMMARY The Process Technician is considered an expert of manufacturing processes and equipment, and are responsible for adjustments, equipment set-up and change over, preventative maintenance, daily reports and lead equipment operators to assure production plan to accomplish in a safe and efficient manner and productive with a high degree of quality in a fast paced manufacturing environment. The Process Technician must be able to operate various forms of equipment and teach new employees the equipment and its operations. They also maintain production schedules and ensure model changes and production schedules are handled with no disruption to the process. Process Technicians are also responsible for daily productivity in their equipment and daily reports such as DFP, SPC and scrap. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform change overs, adjustment according to quality defect corrections and participate with maintenance technicians in installation, debugging, repair and maintenance on production equipment Troubleshoot and process problems in order to return equipment to manufacturing capabilities with minimal downtime. Diagnose process defects, failure and solve problems with minimal scrap and downtime Create new adjustments with manufacturing engineers and technicians Work closely with manufacturing engineers and other maintenance technicians in a team environment to ensure efficient operation of machinery and to implement process improvements Performs preventative maintenance routines coordinating activities with manufacturing technicians and engineers Fill production reports assuring precise information such as inventories, production results, downtime, SPC, DFP, TPM and scrap MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must have no written disciplinary action in the past 6 months Must have less than 4.0 attendance points Must be at least 18 years of age. High School diploma or GED Ability to communicate orally and in writing effectively with Managers, supervisors, and peers. Lead and participate in root cause analysis of equipment or parts. Safely comply with health, safety & environmental requirements education/work experience. 5 plus years' experience with appropriate process (Plastics, Metal Fabrication, Foaming, Automation) May be required to work weekends/shutdowns based on set up needs on these machines. Must be able to operate a computer and a tablet (iOS and android). The appropriate candidate for this position is results oriented, team player, self-starting, dynamic, flexible, and strongly motivated to succeed and deliver. Proven past ability to set-up, operate and perform preventative maintenance on fully automated heavy equipment in a high speed manufacturing environment Excellent communication skills and ability to provide direction of technical and complex issues to non-technical support personnel Ability to ensure product is built to specification in a quality manner PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate's degree in maintenance technology and/ or technical trade certificate a plus.
