TandemLife was founded in 1996 and is the trendsetter that paved the way for competitive short-term heart failure solutions. Together, TandemLife and LivaNova plan to expand beyond the confines of cardiac support to bring breakthrough solutions to the respiratory support market.

As a Materials Specialist reporting to the Director of Manufacturing and Materials Management, you will be responsible and accountable for the handling and storage of all purchased raw materials, in-process sub-assemblies and finished good product. Additionally, you will be responsible and accountable for product kitting for Finished Goods and preparing TandemLife products for sterilization. You will also assist with shipping and receiving duties as well as production duties in the processing of orders (as needed).

Minimum Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED (Accredited)

  • One or more years of experience in material control and/or shipping and receiving

  • Strong computer skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend component and assembly drawings

  • Ability to lift 70lbs

  • Ability to work independently, as well as be an integral part of a small team in a positive work environment

Join our team during an exciting time in Arconic's history! * Category Management is responsible for a number of assigned alloying materials used in production, including Magnesium, Silicon, Zinc, Copper, Manganese, and others as assigned by the Director, Metal Procurement. This includes the management of critical supplier relationships in conjunction with the GRP Metals category teams. * The overall goal is to achieve the best total cost position for all external spend within the Categories, the lowest sourcing risks, best supplier performances to ensure the highest efficiency and effectiveness of the Procurement team. * He/she serves as the point of contact for supplier issues within the assigned categories including issues related to service, commercial terms and contract disputes. He/she has to execute global best-in-class procurement processes using state-of-the-art procurement IT software support, ensuring the Procurement organization is utilizing the maximum potential within global and local markets (Cost Savings, Innovation, Quality, Logistics). Major Activities/Key Challenges: * Direct responsibility globally for all alloying materials spend, including Magnesium, Silicon, Zinc, Copper, and Manganese. * Achieve Procurement targets worldwide for assigned categories to help mitigate risk to the business and achieve savings. * Develops and executes Procurement strategies such as Low-Cost Country Sourcing strategies. * Maintains business relationships with representatives of strategic suppliers for the alloying materials categories. * Collaborates with other category teams and procurement functions using forums such as workshops to achieve category cost savings targets. * Leads, co-leads, or supports commercial sourcing activity across all categories as required to meet company objectives (e.g. e-Auction, RfX processes). * Leads, co-leads, or supports non-commercial events as required to meet objectives, including, but not limited to Kaizen workshops, Working Capital/Inventory Workshops. * Executes contract negotiations/Terms and Conditions with suppliers classified in categories. * Accountable for Performance areas: Cost Savings (Net Savings), Supplier performance, challenging of material & service specifications (demand management). Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Technology, Politics/Political Science, Policy, Finance, Accounting, Data Science/Analytics, Marketing/Communications, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering from an accredited Institution. * Minimum of 7 years previous work experience in purchasing management * Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
