Essential Functions:

  • Plan and/or schedule, release, confirm and follow-up on assigned material, components, and/or parts to ensure on-time delivery and support to the manufacturing schedules (MRP)

  • Review, determine, and maintain inventory at levels to support company goals while maintaining a high level of customer service and eliminate production downtime

  • Assist in preparation and management of the MRP

  • Proactively investigate, determine, and document impact of proposed changes for the facility either as a result of internal engineering changes, new product development, or business acquisitions

  • Manage products responsibility in rationalization or change activities to deplete finished goods, raw materials, and related assemblies.

  • Monitor and implement bill of material (BOM) changes and new product introductions (NPI) on a timely basis

  • Support and execute purchasing activities for contracts with suppliers

  • Create, monitor and implement change requests and Engineering Change Notification (ECN) changes

  • Assure 100% on-time delivery by suppliers, timely SCAR resolution, expeditious NC returns and closures

  • Occasionally purchase indirect materials and services from suppliers

  • Write and/or maintain procedures which impact the Materials organization

  • Work closely with Operations to facilitate improvements in material procurement, flow, and storage

  • Support regular S&OP cadence and requests for various product lines

  • Complete all required training applicable to assigned position

  • Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field; or 10 years of increasing responsibility in planning role

  • Certified (or actively pursuing) in Purchasing or Production & Inventory Control Systems (CPIM, CSCP, etc.)

  • Minimum five years of experience in planning, scheduling or buying (Manufacturing Supervisor or Management)

  • Demonstrated understanding of ERP systems

  • Experience dealing with international suppliers (experience dealing with Chinese suppliers a plus)

  • Ability to act independently with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills

  • Effective math and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Computer literate in MS Suite applications
