Role Summary:

Description:

Ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials to support production and sales. Work to resolve Materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.

Essential Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overall ownership of material ordering, availability, and scheduling targeting 2-week inventory levels, at a minimum

  • Oracle and Digital Cockpit expert

  • Ensure systemic accuracy of inventory

  • Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control)

  • Daily Shortage root cause investigation and resolution

  • Partner closely with suppliers focusing on: Packaging needs, min/max planning. PCNs, as they relate to old/existing parts, materials replenishment planning, root-cause problem solving,

  • Conduct daily walks on the floor and the receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues

  • Support material transfers, supplier reviews w/Sourcing

  • Field Modification Instruction, as appropriate - ordering material, formulating schedules

  • Supplier visits, as needed - internal and external

  • Manage Phase In / Phase Out (NPI) to minimize obsolete material

  • Provide supply analysis data and recommendations as necessary

  • Assist in cycle count efforts as determined

  • Support tool development for prediction of material issues

  • Support all lean activities, initiatives, and action workouts

Qualifications/Requirements:

Quality Specific Goals:
1.Aware of, and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2.Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3.Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4.Knowledge & understanding of production process work instructions & operates within them
5.Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records and DHRs

Qualifications:
1.Bachelor's degree or HS diploma & 5 yrs material experience or production scheduling
2.Computer proficiency
3.Working knowledge of MRP or equivalent system
4.Excellent Interpersonal Skills
5.Strong problem solving skills
6.Willing to travel domestically as needed
7.Analytical skills
8.Ability to develop and build rapport within and outside the organization

VIEW JOBS 6/17/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-09-15T00:00 Position: Construction Materials Testing Technician Requisition Number: 2018-2350-08 S&ME, Inc., a geoprofessional and design consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Construction Materials Testing / Engineering Technician in our Florence, South Carolina location. The individual will be responsible for the following: * Review of civil, architectural, and structural plans and specifications in preparation of field observations on construction sites; * Documentation of field activities, observations, and testing results on construction projects, and their conformance with (or deviation from) project plans and specifications; * Field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/grout for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and/or project specifications; * Daily use of Metafield, and/or other field and laboratory information management systems, for recording of testing results; * Communication of field and laboratory testing results with Construction Services and Geotechnical Project Management staff, general contractors, and clients; * Calibration of field and laboratory equipment to industry codes and standards. Qualifications: * High school diploma/GED required; * 2-8 years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials required; * Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing), using the English language, required; * Ability to routinely lift 40 to 50 lbs. (field/laboratory samples and equipment), required; * Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (Company will provide Personal Protective Equipment and inclement weather gear, as appropriate); * Ability to work and maneuver equipment (such as a loaded wheelbarrow) on uneven ground and around active construction sites; * Willingness to travel out-of-town (typically overnight) for short duration assignments. One or More Active Certification(s) Required: * American Concrete Institute (ACI) * Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician; Special Inspector; Masonry Field Testing; Aggregate Testing. * NICET * Construction Materials Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils). * International Code Council (ICC) * Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils). * DOT Certifications (specific to the state in which the position is available) in the fields of Aggregate, Conventional Density, Asphalt, and Concrete. Pay rate is based on level of experience and active certifications. S&ME offers a Credential Incentive Program to assist employees in obtaining additional certifications.
