Job Description:

The Materials Program Manager performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including materials planning, procurement, supply chain, customer service, etc.

  • Prepares material cost estimates, maintains and controls material budgets for assigned programs, and ensures on-time delivery performance.

  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems.

  • Participates in determining objectives of assignment.

  • Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

  • Exerts influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.

  • Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects.

  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

  • Negotiates with suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years supply chain management experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years with a Master's degree.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.

  • 5 years of experience in Data Analytics.

  • 4 years of experience in Project Management.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience using MRP systems software.

  • Experience working in the US DOD manufacturing industry.

  • Understanding of industry principles, concepts, practices and standards along with a basic knowledge of the manufacturing process.

  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables, etc.
