Job Overview

As Materials Planning Analyst, you will;

  • Responsible for the day to day planning orders, making sure orders have all the necessary attributes so operations can process them

  • Collaborate with Business Units Cross-functional teams (Customer Service, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality) to develop and improve strategies and processes that will help the business meet specific goals.

  • Responsible to alert the business units about orders with problems and working with together to fix them

  • Follow up on special instructions from BU's on how to ship orders and make sure all changes are done in SAP.

  • In charge of placing the necessary routings in a daily basis to assure getting the carrier confirmation

  • Be in constant communication with operations team for urgent requests

  • Monitors the workload and progress and raises concerns to Supervisor

  • Monitors the delivery performance and analyzes the issues with late shipments.

  • Handles the Cycle Count Process to assure good inventory accuracy. Investigate root causes for the different issues and follow up with corrective actions

  • Analyze the different processes within the Distribution Center to make sure all of them are complying to maintain a good inventory accuracy

  • Work on projects to improve key performance indicators

  • Performs special task that the Supervisor indicates

What your background should look like:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent (If do not have, willing to start one within the 1st year of starting the job).

  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Distribution

  • Extended knowledge of Distribution processes within SAP

  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (Continuous Improvement)

  • Strong Computer Skills (SAP, Microsoft Office Tools, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Project)

  • Fluent in English. Spanish is a plus.

This position is at our El Paso, TX distribution center.

VIEW JOBS 11/14/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-12T00:00 Overview / Responsibilities Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions has an immediate need in El Paso, TX office for a Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform field inspections and observations for roadways, structures, utilities and bridge construction projects. Key Responsibilities * Perform soil, concrete, asphalt and masonry testing; Steel inspection abilities a plus * Provide daily reports of observation and test results * Monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications * Interact with client representative (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sites * Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of testing data; and * Travel within Texas, New Mexico and surrounding states to support other Wood offices; approximately 10% overnight travel Skills / Qualifications Role Requirements * High School Diploma or equivalent required * Ideal candidate has a minimum of 1 Year direct work experience in construction materials testing * A recent graduate with a BS in Civil Engineering would also be a good fit for this opportunity * Valid Driver's License required * Reliability – must be able to arrive at designated project sites prior to scheduled times * Ability to prepare report s and documentation * Ability and willingness to travel to support other Wood offices and projects desires; Approximately 10% overnight travel, with opportunities for longer term travel assignments * Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy Preferred Qualifications * ACI, NICET, TTCP or DOT certification preferred but not required * 1+ years of Materials Testing experience Physical Demands * Ability to stoop, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds * Will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and will walk on uneven ground * MONEIS* Company Overview Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
