Operating as a regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines performs flying services as a partner with United Airlines.

Currently operating a fleet of CRJ-200 regional jets as United Express, Air Wisconsin Airlines operates throughout the Eastern and Central United States. Air Wisconsin's team is made up of around 1,800 members dedicated to making our travelers' experiences safe and pleasant.

Working under the direction of the Materials Planning Supervisor, the Materials Planning Analyst will work to expedite materials; parts, and tooling to support Heavy Check, QEC, scheduled maintenance, established re-order points, and AOG aircraft.

The Materials Planning Analyst will analyze materials usage data as well as long range maintenance planning objectives continually updating inventory stocking levels to support the operation as well as controlling perpetual inventory growth.

The Materials Planning Analyst works in a support function with Maintenance Controllers, Materials Coordinators, Maintenance Planners, Facility Managers, Strategic Sourcing and Stores personnel. This role also ensures compliance with guidelines of the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and FAA rules and regulations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inventory Analysis / optimization

a. Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze business intelligence data to establish minimum and maximum stocking levels for parts supporting the maintenance organization to eliminate over and understock situations.

b. Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze business intelligence data for current inventory to identify understock situations which can be filled by transfer of inventory in an overstock situation

c. Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze business intelligence data to monitor unserviceable and limbo inventory and collaborate with interfaces to facilitate timely disposition.

d. Work closely with Purchasing department to ensure optimize order quantities and stocking locations

  • Support Materials Requirements for heavy check maintenance, AOG aircraft, and scheduled maintenance:

a. Inventory Transfers: Locate existing inventory owned by Air Wisconsin, contact the facility and arrange for the transfer of required materials.

b. Source Materials from another Airline:

o Contact other airlines in an attempt to procure required materials.

o Obtain copies of part certification.

o Create the appropriate computer transaction for purchasing or borrowing of part.

o Coordinate the return of parts to other airline when necessary.

c. Source Materials from a Supplier:

o Contact supplier to obtain price and availability.

o Obtain copies of part certification.

o Create the appropriate computer transaction for purchasing or borrowing of part.

o Work in close coordination with other members of Procurement group to optimize order quantities and stocking locations

  • Logistics:

a. Obtain the most efficient and cost effective means of transportation for all sourced materials.

b. Utilize established reports for continuous tracking of parts. Monitor status of current shipments and document status following company approved methods.

  • Metrics:

a. Create, maintain, and monitor metrics for monitoring departmental goals.

  • Coordination with:

a. Maintenance Planning for scheduling of tasks to minimize part transfers and ensure appropriate materials are on hand.

b. Maintenance Control for part requirements required for unscheduled aircraft and determines shipping method to meet operational need.

c. Technical Stores for the transfer of materials and status on unserviceable parts.

d. Heavy Check representatives for parts requirements and no later than dates.

e. Members of the Procurement team coordinating a cohesive supply chain by optimizing order quantities and stocking locations

  • Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures.

  • Attendance is considered an essential responsibility

Requirements Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field work or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • Experience in airline operations, purchasing, inventory management, materials planning or supply chain required.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-pace work environment.

  • Airline experience preferred.

  • No licenses required.

  • Ability to work a variety of schedules including being on call nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required

  • Strong computer skill, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, e-mail and AS400 applications.

VIEW JOBS 3/20/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-18T00:00 POSITION SUMMARY The Commercial and Government Markets Manager - Operational Excellence (OE) and Strategic Planning is responsible for being a strategic partner to one or more business Strategy/Roadmap owners to facilitate roadmap development/maintenance, train/mentor key resources (including Green and Black Belts) in OE methods to support execution of the roadmap, and perform assessments and process reengineering in support of its execution. The successful candidate must be comfortable leading strategic and highly visible, complex initiatives, and must have sufficient experience in business strategy, coaching/mentoring Green/Black Belts, process reengineering, business transformation and analytics skills. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS This position reports to the Director of Operational Excellence and Quality. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Major Opportunities and Decisions: Effective leadership is the successful coordination of all aspects of the roadmap, to bring about the targeted results. The areas of focus mentioned below represent key best practices that the successful Manager - Operational Excellence (OE) and Strategic Planning must demonstrate: Relationship Management: Must be customer focused and is expected to manage relationships and expectations. Managing the expectations of and influencing many diverse stakeholders, through effective communication and well-tuned interpersonal skills, is critical to success. Leadership and Management by Influence: Throughout the year, the Manager - OE and Strategic Planning must also remain focused on driving the team and maintaining momentum. They must act as a change agent where necessary and motivate the strategy/roadmap teams in support of meeting the objectives and key results. As this leader does not have management responsibilities for the resources, they must manage execution by influence. Thought Leadership and Continuous Improvement: Successful leaders will demonstrate the ability to perform large scale assessments with strategic implications/conclusions. Another significant portion of the role is to develop team members (through training and mentoring) in OE skills to execute initiatives from the roadmaps. They must also be able to challenge initiatives to ensure the proper strategic alignment and that the roadmap will deliver the intended results. This leader will map/develop processes with the Voice of the Customer in mind, while challenging institutional norms (the way things have always been done) in a meaningful, collaborative and respectful way. This includes evaluation of organizational/area metrics to ensure that they promote the appropriate behavior/success. Applying lessons learned from previous initiatives to current projects is another way the OE manager can foster continuous improvement. Communication and Collaboration: Throughout the regular strategy/roadmap cycle, the Manager - Operational Excellence (OE) and Strategic Planning must be able to support the development of and on occasion delivery of communications to multiple levels of the organization including Executive audiences. The OE manager will facilitate regular steering team meetings and operating reviews. They must be able to clearly communicate and coordinate team progress across the roadmap by demonstrating a high aptitude for teamwork with other leaders. Success is measured based upon achieving strategic/roadmap goals and delivering expected benefits.
