Hexcel is currently seeking a Materials Manager for our Pottsville, PA, USA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

• The Material Manager is responsible for the production planning, inventory plans, and accuracy, and direct and indirect material planning and replenishment.

• Lead and work with the planning group to provide executable production plans and schedules to meet forecast and booked demand while optimizing quality, cost, and equipment capacity.

• Optimize the short- and long-term production planning, and material replenishment process for maximum utilization of the plant facilities and resources.

• Under the general guidance of the Supply Chain Director, develops targets, systems and procedures for achieving agreed inventory levels for raw materials, intermediates and finished goods.

• Balance supply and demand in the supply chain in collaboration with the other affected Hexcel Plants production planning/scheduling groups and through the SIOP process. If balance cannot be agreed, then the constraints is to be escalated with the appropriate senior management for resolution/direction.

• Oversee short and long-range planning balance supply and demand on a 0-24-month time frame.

• Work in conjunction with the manufacturing operation to maximize customer service levels and on time delivery of customer orders. Works in conjunction with the Plant Manager, Operations Manager and Supply Chain Director towards achieving objectives.

• Assist with the inventory control function via cycle counting and physical inventories as needed.

• Collaborate with the Quality function on the customer return process and assists with supplier quality management.

• Assist in contract negotiations for plant services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required - in administration, Operations Mgmt., Engineering or related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in plant scheduling and supply chain management.

• CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving, facilitation skills, and leadership, required.

• Working knowledge of MS Word, ACCESS, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.

• Working knowledge of Power BI, Power Pivot and MRP systems preferred.

• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.

• Ability to present to audiences of hourly and salaried employees.

• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring high initiative and self-motivation.

• Regular attendance on company premises is required.
