Materials Management Coordinator-Operating Room, FT Days (4324-029)

Coordinates, expedites and manages materials, equipment, instruments and supplies for Perioperative Services. Supervises Perioperative material management staff.

Required Skills

• Ability to express written and oral ideas in a clear and concise manner.

• Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling.

• Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.

• Technical proficiency in the use of computers and software applications related to materials and financial analysis.

• Knowledge of or ability to learn materials management techniques for supplies, equipment, instruments and implants utilized in O.R.

• Ability to seek out new methods and principles to improve services.

• Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Required Experience

A. Work Experience:

• One year experience in a Perioperative environment. Previous Materials Management experience preferred.

B. Education and Training:

• Bachelors degree in accounting/finance, business administration, or related field preferred.

C. License/Registration/Certification:

• Certification by National Institute of Healthcare Sterile Processing and Distribution Personnel preferred.
