Our Staunton, VA facility to looking for a Materials Management Analyst to support our operations by analyzing raw material levels, managing purchase orders, overall inventories and aged inventory of our board material for the production department.

This position will also support the Production Scheduler for scheduling and optimum sequencing of materials and production for our sheeting, printing, cutting and finishing departments. We will look to this individual to help the business minimize raw material and WIP inventory, set-up costs, minimize unfavorable efficiency variances and downtime relating to material availability.

Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyze raw material requirements and determine the lowest cost scenario to fulfill order quantities.

  • Place raw material Purchase orders from approved vendors to support the production schedules for assigned departments.

  • Responsible for monitoring raw materials and WIP inventory levels within established tolerances for items produced or purchased for the assigned operating department.

  • Work with scheduling daily to determine board shortage/availability "hot list".

  • Monitor mill schedules and negotiate with Atlanta board planners to maintain efficient supply for Staunton production.

  • Daily communication with transportation/warehouse on board deliveries into the facility to support production schedule.

  • Produce weekly report for aged raw materials. Determine if any aged raw materials can be substituted on any open orders to control inventory.

  • Assist Logistics Manager with daily management of the schedule (working with Customer Service Representatives, Plant Management, and Equipment Operators).

  • Responsible for managing the warehouse / logistics operations in absence of the Logistics Manager as needed.

  • Responsible for compliance with all facility food safety, food defense and quality policies, and procedures including product safety (GMPs)/Sanitation policies and procedures. Employee must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of their work area in support of AIB/5's and other company standards.
