Computer Task Group is seeking a Materials & Process Engineer for our client in Dallas, TX.

Description:

This assignment requires material selection and testing experience, experience with missile and canister development, experience creating drawing notes, experience reviewing drawings, and the ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools. Tasks will include material evaluation of both missile and canister components and subassemblies, evaluation of material incompatibilities and evaluation and creating material protection requirements. Tasks will also include reviewing and signing off on drawings as well as creating M&P support documentation.

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory:

Candidate must have a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Materials, Physics, or similar degree program. Candidate must have at least 15 years of experience in the Materials / Materials and Process Engineering discipline involving the material selection and development for missiles and missile containers.

Candidate must have experience with missile development programs. Candidate must have experience with industry standards, specifications, and practices. Candidate must have experience with materials selection and testing.

Candidate must have experience creating specifications, test procedures, and reports. Candidate must have knowledge/experience with Computer Aided Design software tool. Candidate must be capable of interpreting detail, assembly, and installation type drawings.

Candidate must have experience creating and interpreting drawing notes. Candidate must have experience Microsoft Office applications.

Desired:

It is desired that the Candidate have a Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Materials, Physics, or similar degree program. It is desired if the candidate has familiarity with Missiles and Fire Control M&P standards, specifications, practices.

It is desired if the candidate has experience with Missiles and Fire Control Products. It is desired if the candidate has knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

The Dallas facility manufactures Planarization chemicals for Semiconductor market.. The Blending Operator will be responsible for ensuring daily production goals are met by blending raw materials together accurately according to batch formulation that meet final specifications and control limits. The Blending Operator is also required to sample materials, apply HAZCOM labels to the containers and complete applicable documentation while following detailed procedures and checklists. Applicants must have manufacturing background in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or semiconductor environment or equivalent military or apprenticeship training. General duties: o Operate equipment associated with blending assets including PLC interface. o Perform periodic lifting of 50 lbs. o Handle hazardous materials safely and responsibly. o Work cooperatively with others in work group to achieve daily production goals. o Wear required PPE including respirator, chemical suit, hard hat, goggles, etc. o Follow documented work instructions and complete checklists accurately. o Maintain neat and orderly work area. o Comply with all required health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations. Qualifications: o High school diploma or GED. Some college preferred or related experience. o Minimum 2 years' chemical plant experience in a manufacturing role. o Military service in related field a plus, but not required. o Detail oriented and good documentation skills. o Strong safety philosophy and willing to engage others to pursue safety culture of zero accidents.
