Materials Handling Technician
The MH Technician utilizes a variety of mobile equipment to perform various tasks throughout the Distribution / Operations area. The Material Handling Tech is responsible to support the delivery of department objectives for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and People.
Because we operate 24/7, K-C Ogden employees can expect to work a rotating schedule (front and back shift). With the exception of mandatory or voluntary overtime, this schedule currently allows employees two weekends off per month and three days off in between most shifts. Overtime is assigned based on business needs and is not guaranteed.
The current starting hourly rate for this position is $15.00 per hour with an increase to $15.50 per hour (achievable in six months based upon tenure and skills progression as established by the Mill). Employees earn a .77 differential for back shifts worked (approx. half of scheduled shifts per year) and current practice is to pay double time for any Sunday worked (approx. 26 shifts per year).

Perform work in a safe manner
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the department and follow 5S principals.
Operate a variety of mobile equipment.
Change mobile equipment batteries.
Inspect incoming trailers before unloading or loading.
Utilize WMS to input items into storage locations.
Perform cycle counting as requested.
Attend required training sessions, including cGMP refresher.
Review job specific plant procedures as required.
Follow cGMP documentation practices.
Complete required documentation.
Deliver documentation to appropriate place or person(s).
High school diploma or equivalent.
1 year verifiable working experience.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Successfully complete and pass a virtual job tryout (online assessment).
Basic Understanding, support, and execution of Continuous improvement principles and tools.
Previous lift operations experience
Basic troubleshooting skills
