This position is located in the Office of Currency Manufacturing, Cash-Pak Branch, General Stores, Shipping, & Receiving Section and is responsible for managing and directing the daily operations of the Western Currency Facility's (WCF) warehouse and supply functions.

As a Materials Handler Supervisor, you will:

  • Be responsible for the technical evaluation, maintenance, and monitoring of various inventory programs and functions for the WCF to ensure that the necessary production resources are available in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.

  • Plan, organize, assign, and review the work of the Section employees setting priorities and preparing schedules for completion of the work.

  • Evaluate performance, recommend awards, effect minor disciplinary actions such as warnings and reprimands, and recommend appropriate discipline for adverse action cases.

  • Develop and establish the flow of work in the Section. Provide advice, counsel, and instructions to individual employees regarding work and administrative matters.

  • Receive, store, and assemble stock items for issue; issue specialized and general store items used in production, maintenance, and administrative areas; receive, verify, expedite, and distribute incoming supplies; supervise the use of mechanized, automated, and manual material moving equipment, devices, and systems.

Occasional travel - 1-5 nights per month

Physical Demands:

The incumbent is required to walk and stand during the course of the workday. Occasionally, the incumbent may be required to hand-carry items weighing up to 25 pounds or, place on hand trucks, a variety of packaged items weighing up to 50 pounds. The incumbent may be required to operate a variety of material handling equipment including forklifts, boom lifts, and electric pallet jacks. The incumbent may be required to kneel, bend, and climb on ladders in order to accomplish the assigned duties.

VIEW JOBS 12/18/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-18T00:00 <div>Trinity Metro has an immediate opening for a Materials Management Supervisor.  The incumbent in this position will ensure the continuity of products by overseeing receiving, identifying, and allocating inventory and non-inventory products for Trinity Metro’s warehouse and stockroom facility.  This includes ensuring that all operations meet applicable government regulations, generally accepted standards, and company policies.  Provides supervision that include measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance, organization, accurate inventory management, receiving and issuance of vehicle maintenance materials, supplies and parts to achieve high level of customer service standards.  The incumbent supervises the Parts and Receiving Clerk positions, performs general stock keeping duties, and maintains inventory control records manually and via computer.  Maintains a clean, organized, safe and efficient operation for accurate inventory management and control.  </div> <div> </div> <div>This position's responsibilities include:</div> <div> </div> <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;"> <div>Supervises staff, which includes prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary decisions or recommendations.</div> </li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;"> <div>Participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities.
