The Role:
Your Core Responsibilities
We are looking for a Materials Handler to join our growing multi-disciplinary team. You will be instrumental in implementing the materials management and logistics needed to bring a next-generation surgical robotics platform to market. This includes warehousing design, inventory control, and distribution for Moon Surgical's system, sub-systems, and clinical accessory products.
With our first commercial Maestro Systems entering the market under this role in a growing Operations function, you will be part of a nimble Operations team, interacting with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and R&D personnel.
Your Day-to-day Activities
Raw material receipts and identification
Work order kitting and staging
Work order receipts and quality release coordination
Kanban sweeps and replenishment
Onsite & offsite storage management and transfers
Nonconforming material triage, quarantine, and disposition
Monthly & year-end cycle counting and finance reporting
Outbound logistics; product distribution, material RMAs
Infrastructure and process improvements and suggestions
How You'll Fit In
On a daily basis, you will be working as part of a cross-functional & dynamic team covering various functional areas like Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality.
You will be reporting to our VP of Operations who will provide guidance and management on your short-, mid- and long-term projects within the organization through weekly 1-1 meetings.
You will be in contact with all the team members and counterparts globally, on an as-needed basis, with peak periods around financial reconciliation and reporting.
The whole company meets globally a few times a year, and you will rapidly have an opportunity to meet everyone involved.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:
5+ years of warehouse organization and management with a medical device or ISO regulated manufacturer
Self-starter mindset in small company or startup environment
Ability to utilize Excel for data entry and reporting
Experience working with MRP/ERP systems
Kanban program support experience
Physical ability to lift 30 pounds
National and international shipment experience through major carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL)
Flexible scheduling, able to work full shift somewhere between 7:30AM-4:30PM, with opportunities for overtime as needed
