Position Requirements/Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required
Essential Duties:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The duties listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Responsibilities include preparing shipping documents, assisting with packaging and loading, and conducting quality inspections. Material handling duties involve pulling production jobs, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clear Finished Goods area. Desired qualities include computer skills, forklift experience, and the ability to work independently and overtime when necessary.
Adherence to policy & procedures.
Ability to abide by customer shipping requirements.
Must be able to follow direction as given.
Have high level of attention to detail.
Daily contributor to team synergy
Shipping:
Prepare shipping labels, documents, certifications, packing slips, etc. for shipment of product.
Assist in preparing packages for shipment. Repack any remaining unshipped product for return to inventory.
Assist with loading trucks as needed.
Repack materials for shipment per customer specifications, e.g. bagging, boxing, and drums.
Communicate with Production, Customer Service, and Lab regarding shipments and truck schedules.
Final visual quality inspection of finished goods.
Material Handling:
Pull jobs for Production.
Clear Finished Goods area of non-shipping materials and inventory.
Weigh unused materials from production runs; update weight tags, re-inventory.
Secondary Job Duties- Receiving
Unload arriving shipments. Check incoming product and weights against Bill of Lading. Inspect for damages.
Forward receiving paperwork to Accounting and Material Certifications to Customer Service.
Record receipts in Receiving Log; distribute packages, turn in packing slips to Receptionist or Purchasing Agent.
Provide samples of incoming B & C grade materials to the Lab for quality testing.
Affix inventory tags to containers. When material is released from Lab, affix green approval dots on the
inventory tags and place received materials into designated inventory locations.
Additional Position Responsibilities
Perform inventory cycle counts.
Repack stumper materials as required.
Shipping Clerk
Sort used skids and drums.
Maintain inventory levels of finished packaging.
Housekeeping: repairing damaged containers, sweeping, organizing Off Color/ Phys Prop area.
Assist other departments or personnel with job tasks as directed or necessary.
Follow all ISO work instructions as well as quality and safety policies, as written or described.
