BioFire Diagnostics is seeking a Materials Handler IV to join our team. This position will work in our Stock-I & Instrument Manufacturing location. The Materials Handler IV is responsible for real time inventory transactions as defined below.

Activities include supporting and collaborating with the Inventory Process and Inventory Control teams which includes: inventory counting, transaction auditing, variance identification and reconciliation.

Position will provide training to Quality, Materials Handlers, and Manufacturing.

Transaction error communication will be provided to the Materials Handling and Inventory Control teams.

Position will take proactive measures to ensure a high degree of inventory accuracy.

Must be proficient in BioFire Diagnostic's enterprise business systems and manufacturing execution system.


Principal Job Duties and

Responsibilities:

Materials Transfers from Manufacturing to controlled warehouse:

  • Material quantity verification

  • Sub-Lot transfers

  • Palletizing material

  • Coordination of material movement with manufacturing and controlled warehouse(s)

Transfer of Subassemblies into controlled warehouse(s):

  • Material quantity verification

  • Sub-Lot transfer

  • Coordination of material movement with manufacturing and controlled warehouse(s)

  • FIFO management

Manufacturing IOIDs:

  • Material quantity verification

  • Production Web IOID transactions

  • Coordination of material movement with manufacturing and controlled warehouse(s)

Verify Kanban accuracy:

  • Material quantity verification

  • Visual check

  • Generate reports to compare against Production Web location(Future

Recommendations for Workflow/Process Analysis:

  • Coordinate and Cooperate with Inventory Control Analysts

  • Maintain Production Web Locations in Manufacturing(Future)

Principal Decisions

  • Verify inventory adjustments are conducted per WID and are within authorized parameters.

Supplemental Data:

  • Occasional work on weekends or after regular work hours may be required

  • Satisfy inventory accuracy and transaction accuracy outlined in WID.

Training and Education:

  • High school diploma.

  • College degree preferred but not required. College courses in Business Operations, Operations, Supply Chain, Inventory Control or Accounting preferred but not required.

  • APICS Certification Preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • 4(+) years warehouse or inventory control, required.

Skills:

  • Must have excellent attention to detail. Must be able to communicate effectively. Presentation skills preferred. Must be able to read and comprehend documented inventory control, materials, production, and quality procedures. Experience using MS office software to include Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project is preferred. Experience using MAS500 or SAP preferred.

  • Materials Handler must possess excellent attention to detail. Excellent problem solving, and communication skills are required.

  • Materials Handler must be a self-starter and capable of working self-directed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance and work 30% of time standing and or lifting.
