Properly identify material and is accountable for its accuracy in the stock locations. Ensure the availability of production material for the assigned programs. Inventories material from Receiving or that which may be returned from Production.

Qualifications / Education / Experience

Precision Technologies, the Precision Machining division of Benchmark Electronics, is looking for a career-minded MATERIALS HANDLER II for our Fremont, CA location. Our client list reads like a "Who's Who" of Original Equipment Manufacturers requiring precision mechanical production capabilities including close-tolerance machining and electromechanical clean room assembly. Our product lines include equipment for the Semiconductor and Scientific Instrumentation markets.

  • Pull parts from stock to build kits assigned by Production Control; issue and distribute the kits to the manufacturing operation.

  • Fill and account for material requisitions submitted from Operations.

  • Receive and place parts/components into stock from Receiving/Inspection.

  • Assist in tracking and filling backorders as parts/components become available.

  • Ensure the correct balances are maintained by the performance of Cycle Counts.

  • Include Parts Prep area and inventory done in Value Add (Tape & Reel and Programming). What would really impress us:

  • 2-year technical degree

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Self directed with ability to take initiative What we need from you:

  • 2 years' experience in warehouse operations in shipping and receiving

  • High school diploma or a GED

Description: Individual contributor responsible for executing and coordinating routine and non routine operations in QC as assigned related to the sample/data management and testing of bulk drug substance and drug product in a multi-product facility. This position will support planning, controlling and monitoring standard operating procedures (SOP). Representing the department during audits, technical lead for method transfer/validations, and technical assessments. Executes with oversight moderate QC related compliance (document creation and revision, deviations, investigations, OOS, CAPAs, and change controls) deliverables. This position performs planning, monitoring and reporting of deviations, change controls and improvement projects. The Specialist will represent quality during regulatory and customer audits. Accountable for continuous process improvements and efficiency gains. Duties & Responsibilities: * Executes operations including but not limited to analytical testing, test record review, method validation/qualification, equipment qualification, process and method monitoring and compliance. Supports equipment and process troubleshooting and implements continuous improvement projects of moderate to high complexity in the QC areas. Defines user requirements for new methodology, equipment and validation protocols. Executes with oversight moderately complex compliance and Quality initiatives. * Maintains inspection readiness within Raw Materials in Quality Control in the following ways: * Generates play books for complex deviations, CAPA, and change controls. * Identify, propose, and executes compliance process and procedural changes to reduce deviations. * Implements corrective actions. * Leads area walk through for housekeeping * Participates in audits and inspections by presenting deviations and change controls to the auditors/inspectors with support. * Analyzes data relative to defined KPI. Makes recommendations for improvement based upon the data gathered * Manages moderate investigations, change control records, trending program and projects. Responsible for achieving deviation, change control and project goals including timelines and scope. Creates schedules and monitors the deliverables against the timeline. * Develops processes with their manager to reduce the turn around time of deviations and change controls owned by self. Manages trending of one or more commercial product. * Documents work according to cGMP and cGDP. * Adheres to established regulations and follows cGMP established by site. * Reports abnormalities and deviations in a timely and accurate manner. * Create/updates raw material specifications and SOPs as required. Maintains RM released data lot packets and reports. Create RM final reports. Works with SQM and Quality Compliance on material qualification. Coordinates with PPIC and Logistics the schedule for creation of new raw material specifications. Review raw material lot packets to ensure appropriate samples are taken and tested according to specification. Performs final disposition and release of raw materials in SAP. * Performs an Owner role for Change Controls and Deviations. Represents QCRM in cross functional meetings * Manages small to medium projects under supervision. Responsible for achieving project goals, including timelines and scope using project-management tools. Generates, updates and monitors the project plan including milestones and decision points together with the team. Manages projects with competing priorities Requirements: * Bachelor's degree accredited institution required with a minimum of six (6) years in the pharmaceutical industry with direct experience in cGMP environment, Raw Material quality experience, knowledge of deviation, CAPA and change control processes OR Masters Degree from an accredited institution with three (3) years in the pharmaceutical industry with direct experience in cGMP environment, Raw Material quality experience, knowledge of deviation, CAPA and change control processes. * Experience leading projects with history of achieving results and outstanding outcomes using project-management tools. Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks against given time-lines. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate outcomes both verbally and written in a meeting and in an audit situation. * Experience is making good quality decisions while managing multiple projects. * Independent decision making capability and ability to think conceptually and understand impact of decisions critical to raw material quality. * Must be able to represent the raw material department in a wide-assortment of situations * Experienced in ensuring respectful interactions with individuals with diverse views or backgrounds. * Ability to work effectively on cross-functional and global teams. * Work according to given schedules and flexibility to adapt working schedule upon prior notice. * Ability to concentrate on detail oriented work in a complex technical setup with a Quality and Right the first time mindset. * Experience with quality computer-based systems. * Experience with SOPs, work instructions and document work in a written format applying cGMP standards.
