Materials Engineering has a diverse array of career options. New graduates may support operations, external laboratories, failure investigation, materials specifications and design data generation. The new graduate may also work in a number of specialty technologies, including organic matrix composites, ceramic matrix composites, nickel alloys, light metals, steels, non-destructive testing and analysis, coatings and joining. The candidate will apply materials engineering knowledge to a variety of gas turbine engine components, and will develop an understanding of materials processing, including but not limited to casting, forging, composite and metal fabrication and powder processes.

Within this role, the new graduate will be expected to execute materials engineering projects to support manufacturing or design, including planning, experimentation and analysis. Analyze results and publish reports detailing procedure and conclusions, makes presentations on project status and milestones, and work with engineering teams to execute larger projects.

What we need

  • Bachelors in Materials Science, Materials Engineering or other Engineering with materials focus.

  • Cumulative university GPA of 3.0 or above.

  • General knowledge and understanding of general materials science, engineering courses, and laboratories.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including technical writing.

  • Ability to work a technical project with a team

  • Work experience in engineering as a co-op or intern is preferable.

  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

You'll be working towards a BS or MS degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, and/or other Engineering with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
