Ensures supplies, equipment and services are sourced from CHS/HPG contracted vendors and/or at the lowest overall cost, considering quality and value, application, price, contract terms and other applicable expenses. Reviews requisitions for completeness, accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.

Processes purchase orders in the MMIS, places and confirms orders for goods/services, expedites orders, resolves billing and payment issues, and organizes, updates and retains files and purchase order records per CHS retention policy. Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience; Certification preferred. Three to five years experience in purchasing and material distribution with a focus on surgical supplies, equipment and services.

Requires constant hearing, speaking, vision and repetitive hand movement. Requires attention to detail despite frequent interruptions.

VIEW JOBS 3/21/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-19T00:00 Responsible for the organization and coordination of the day-to-day workflow in the OR/CV Materials Management. This includes primary supervision of the staff that work in the area. Prepares and/or reviews all procurement, i.e.: purchase orders and all related documents regarding OR/CV materials management purchasing matters. Manages the procurement, receiving, processing, storing, and issuing of all items stocked in the OR/CV areas. In addition, manages the activity responsible for the receipt, delivery and shipping of all OR/CV areas equipment and supplies. Operational responsibility for insuring compliance with CHS guidelines of Group Purchasing Contract compliance, monitoring and streamlining the supply chain resulting in cost and staff savings. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to Department Director. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or equivalent experience, required. Physical work is moderate to heavy with continuous walking, standing and lifting required. Work in a clean, well lighted, heated/air conditioned environment and warehouse surroundings.
