Materials Coordinator Merrifield, MN

We are seeking a Materials Coordinator who will be responsible to compile, maintain, andreplenish material and

parts inventory to manufacturing. This position willalso assist in the shipping, receiving and inventory control

areas as needed. We will rely on you to performthe following:

Essential Functions:

  • Newly hired and/or fully trained in one (1) or more areas of supply chain including however not limited to, shipping, receiving and inventory control.

  • Reads manufacturing schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority. Then issues material to work orders and distributes material to manufacturing.

  • Maintains a first in first out (FIFO) inventory control and performs cycle counts

  • Transports full bins and empty bins from manufacturing.

  • Transacts MRB material.

  • Processes work orders in accordance with established practices.

  • Transfers material in accordance with established processes as follows: to cost center, warehouse to warehouse, location to location and consignment

  • Verifies, locates and places incoming material into inventory storage locations.

  • Uses material requisition forms and processes to pick up and deliver material to manufacturing.

  • Works with management to identify, determine potential causes and assist in solving inventory discrepancies.

  • Performs material transactions in Visual Manufacturing including packing slips, etc.

  • Schedules order shipments with transportationvendors, in accordance with customer requirements

  • Verifies that part number quantities & serial numbers on work orders match shipping documentation.

  • Maintains shipping, receiving and material records, and maintains files and inputs data into the computer systems.

  • Performs inspection activities to assure that received product is in strict conformance to documentation.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree(GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience.

Success in this role will be measured by effectively and efficiently performing the following duties: Summary Assembles wire harnesses, cableassemblies, printed circuit boards/mechanical assemblies with the use ofvarious hand tools, adhering to the standards required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must beable to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made toenable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Perform basic assembly tasks at a proficiency and quality standard rate set by the plant. * Read and follow written build instructions (process sheets) to perform assigned operation(s), including numbered lists, color coding and diagrams. * Performoperations defined in product documentation to build printed circuit/mechanicalassemblies.
