Georgia-Pacific is looking for a Materials Coordinator to join our team in Warrenton, Georgia. The materials coordinator will report the Purchasing Manager.
A day in the life typically includes:
Owning work order materials coordination from delivery to work order completion
Develop process for materials use execution with facility leadership utilizing the On-Demand Process
Verifying, staging and securing materials in an organized manner
Communicating with maintenance leader on materials status utilizing MP2 and various SQL reporting tools
Working with maintenance to create/edit inventory ID's and add appropriately to BOM's.
Work with stores leader to return unused items for credit or best disposition decision
Work with planner to move valid unused items to new work order or schedule
Work with Purchasing/Stores and Maintenance leadership to optimize and manage VMI programs around maintenance materials
Move or transport materials from one department to another, manually or using material handling equipment wearing required personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, safety boots and hearing protection as needed
Working both in indoor and outdoor environments
Back fill stores leader role as needed
Assist in setting up a new store room
What you will need:
1 year of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
Previous forklift operating experience
Repetitive tasks Walking, standing, stooping, bending Some heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
Microsoft Office products intermediate skill level
