Be part of a team at the Glendale site where you will use your knowledge and background in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve the flow of inventory throughout the operation. Insures that control systems monitor activities to achieve a balanced inventory resulting in an effective system to enable the operation to meet business and customer requirements. Initiate and maintain schedules under minimal supervision to ensure appropriate inventory levels. Interface with Material Planners to obtain and insure clear understanding of needs and provide status/issues on current jobs. Responsible for maintaining official records of Government Property; coordinate and conduct physical inventories. Submit excess/obsolete property in the appropriate data base for disposition. Maintains property accountability records and determines condition and arranges disposal of Property as directed by Policy. Perform

receiving functions; processing receipts, resolving purchase order/paperwork issues and sorting packages to appropriate destinations. Assist in packaging all products leaving site, managing physical storage of material on and off site to include forklift operations. Will follow and comply with department safety

policies; maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or GED

WE VALUE

  • Knowledge of SAP, warehouse and logistics processes

  • Working knowledge of basic computer skills

  • Experience in Materials Inventory control or Material Analyst

  • Familiarity with Manufacturing, Processes and Systems.

  • HAZMAT and DOT Certification desirable.

  • Good presentation skills

  • Good customer service skills / customer relationship management

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-14T00:00 Summary The Accounts Payable Coordinator handles all Accounts Payable (A/P) vouchering and disbursement of A/P checks, including matching packing slips to invoices. The individual will be responsible for all Automated Clearing House (ACH) transmittal for Students, Faculty and Staff direct deposit, including prenotes; research and reconciliation of unresolved accounts payable issues; and for the distribution and processing of various regulatory reports and forms including W9 & year end 1099 reporting. This position reports directly to the Accounts Payable Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Review of payment requests and look-up of vendor IDs for payment in Vendor ID database in CARS * Key invoices into CARS A/P module for payment * Match and verify invoices to packing slips and purchase orders (PO), prior to payment. Follow-up with end users on packing slips * Send emails to faculty/staff for authorization to pay invoices, receipt of packing slips and follow-up email * Print checks and prepare them for mail/pickup (placing in envelopes), including return payment stubs and other information * Run and review check register, and forward onto the Accounts Payable Manager * Upload check registers and direct deposit reports to bank * Follow up on past due invoices / payments * Review of vendors for 1099 processing monthly * Year-end 1099 processing review of vendors,corrections and preparation Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisor responsibilities. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience A high school degree or a GED is required for this position. 5 years of work experience with 2-4 years of experience in an accounts payable processing role. Experience working in a university/college accounts payable setting is preferred. Experience reporting on annual Form 1099 process, a solid understanding of Form W-9 requirements for payment processing and experience working with payables module of Jenzibar CX/CARS are all desired. Computer Skills Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook). Also required is being Proficient in at least one type of A/P payment software. Being proficient in AP Module of Jenzibar CX/CARS is desired. Language Skills Basic Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Reasoning Ability: Basic Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Mathematical Ability Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using the units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
