Responsible for the management of material flow and maintaining control and accuracy over all inventories; including cycle counting, warehousing, and material movements from receipt to stock. With respect to the stockroom the incumbent will manage and support a place for everything and everything in its place.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for inventory accuracy by developing, implementing and managing an inventory control system capable of identifying discrepancies through a systematic Cycle Count process; defining root causes and taking corrective action to minimize future inconsistencies. Manages transactions in company's ERP system, validating that materials are properly received, dispositioned, monitored, back flushed, and invoiced properly.
Drives lean initiatives to include proper management and maintenance of Point of Use, Super Market and Kanban processes. Recommends, develops and maintain inventory accuracy metrics. Develops and implements policies, procedures and best practices related to processes that support materials control.
Works with the Materials team to create and sustain a measurement system for supplier performance. Works closely with Production Management, Purchasing, Material Handlers and Buyer/Planners to ensure Production Schedule is met. Participates in timely management and disposition of scrap, excess, slow moving, or obsolete inventory.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in materials supervision within an industrial equipment manufacturing environment. Previous production supervision, implementing Lean principles to include elements of Kanban signals, cycle counting, daily deliveries, inventory at point of use, Kaizen events, takt-time, balanced flow process, visual factory, empowered team meetings, total safety, standardize work and world class 5S standards a+.

Office and shop floor working environment. Noise level is moderate with intervals of spikes. Required to wear safety glasses and utilize other safety equipment as required while present on the shop floor.
