JOB DESCRIPTION:
Materials & Logistics Director Automotive Components

Summary:
o The Materials Director will have a strategic focus with tactical responsibilities.
o They must have an advanced broad based supply chain management, process development and manufacturing operations knowledge.
o They will drive key metric and cost reductions within the supply chain operations.
Materials & Logistics Director

Responsibilities:
o Responsible for supply chain and logistics management.
o Implement tools and processes that improve operating efficiency and reduce cost within operations and supporting supply chains.
o Assist with the development of inventory and freight goals.
o Seek to develop and initiate best practices across the organization.
o Drive a reduction in overall inventory.
o Assumes responsibility for minimization of obsolete inventory.
o Influence/Educate/Support manufacturing operations to improve key measure performance.
o Provide mentorship for Materials group.
o Contribute to company's continuous quality improvement processes.
o Key measure responsibilities for Customer Delivery Performance, Inventory, Freight, Inventory Loss.
o Support with New Program Launch activities.
o Responsible for material systems and processes within Materials Operations.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree (BS or BA) is required.
Must have recent experience with BMW in Automotive Manufacturing Industry.
Experience with supply chain visibility tools.
In-depth working knowledge of ERP Systems.
Superior leadership skills influence all facets of the organization, mentoring, coaching and teaching.
Excellent analytical problem solving skills and strong influential leadership skills.
Strong technical, planning, negotiating and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and planning skills.

The Sr. Materials Coordinator receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties. What will you do? * Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. * Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. * Sorts and stores raw materials, intermediates or API's in refrigerated rooms or refrigerated area based upon the recommended storage conditions provided within the materials SDS/MSDS, RMS, or shipping documentation. * Marks materials with identifying information based upon regulatory and internal SOP requirements. * Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. * Drives vehicle or forklift to transport stored items from warehouse to various locations throughout the site or to pick up items sitewide for shipment. * Perform area specific inspection work orders including (but not limited to) required regulatory inspections such as 90-Day Storage, Controlled Substance Areas and safety equipment. * Support personnel will be responsible for the collection, disposing and packaging for shipment, any hazardous waste from a Hazardous Waste Satellite Area in accordance with Site's Hazardous Waste Training including but not limited to: DHEC and EPA Hazardous Waste requirements, Hazardous Waste Satellite Area definition and requirements, Hazardous Waste container requirements, Hazardous Waste Labeling and Emergency Response Plan How will you get here? Education * High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Degree required and discipline Experience * 3-5 years warehouse, shipping and materials management experience. * 2 years of cGMP materials and logistics required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities * Must be capable of wearing respiratory protective equipment (SCBA, Full-faced respirator, etc..). * Able to obtain DEA registration.
