In the Naval Power Mission Area, the NSMS portfolio is looking for a Material Program Manager (MPM) to lead the material strategies and execute the program material financial reporting.
The MPM will work with the Standard Missile Factories to translate fluctuations in factory demand into executable plans with Supply Chain and our suppliers. The successful candidate will have supply chain and financial experience and exhibit strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across the organization.
The MPM will be responsible for creating and leading the material program strategies and plans, driving efforts to achieve material sales goals, and delivering efficiencies to programs in Tucson, AZ.
Demonstrated experience in cost account management, managing budgets, and leading supplier negotiations and Cost Reduction efforts to aggressive schedules in a matrixed environment would be advantageous.
This MPM will focus on a newly awarded multi-year contract requiring execution of supplier strategies, negotiations, influencing cross functional partners to assist in reaching critical program goals, management of complex and large dollar monthly/quarterly financials and communicating to executive leadership on a critical program.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Ability to obtain final DoD Secret security clearance is required.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar is required
At least 8 years of progressive professional experience with a combination of experience in Project, Program, Product, Finance and/or Supplier Management is required
Experience working in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel and Power point)
Desired Education, Skills & Experience:
Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar
Active Secret Clearance
Commitment to obtain MPM certification after experience in the role
Excellent written and oral communications skills and should be able to lead efforts, including budgeting and financial management, issue and conflict resolution.
High degree of financial acumen, understand the mechanics of strong supplier negotiations and how to influence an acceptance in execution of cost reduction opportunities. This person will be focused on finding the win-win strategies that mutually benefit the suppliers as well as RTX Multi Year margins
