Thinklogical (a Belden Brand) is looking for a Material Planning Analyst for their location in Milford, CT.

Job Summary:

Our Material Planning Analyst is an experienced professional with a proficient understanding of demand management, materials planning modeling, inventory control, ERP systems, part usage analytics, material forecasting. This Material Planning Manager role requires an in depth understanding of a high-mix, medium volume manufacturing environment and a configure to order process. Our Material Planning Analyst reports to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities for our Material Planning Analyst will include:

  • Works with Sales and Finance to establish the demand forecast.

  • Analyze demands and history to formulate input to the Material Requirements Plan.

  • Work directly with Supply Chain and Procurement to generate buy report.

  • Analyze buy report to ensure accuracy; quantity, lead time, date required.

  • Works with Manufacturing to align materials to production schedule and establish priorities.

  • Generate vendor forecasts.

  • Establish metrics to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.

  • Support and Lead aspects of Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP).

  • Ensure that materials plan is aligned with inventory objectives and relative KPIs.

  • Establish metrics to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.

Required Skills and Experience our Material Planning Analyst should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management or Operations.

  • 5 or more years' experience in Materials Management, Materials Planning, Demand Management.

  • Be able to work cross-functionally and present to various levels of the organization and its stakeholders. Ability to work with and influence stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience in a Configure to Order / Make to Order Medium Volume / High Mix manufacturing environment.

  • Strong data analysis background and skills. Ability to make recommendations based on data sets.

  • Supervisory or management experience preferred. Will manage a program, not people.

  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of ERP, CRM, MS Office, Analytical Tools.

  • Strong MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) and Material Planning Skills, Demand Planning.

  • SQL scripting or equivalent skill preferred.

  • Skilled in managing priorities; self-actuated, sense of urgency, detail oriented.

  • APICS certification preferred.

  • Ability to successfully execute duties under pressure from deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
