The Material Planner (MP) for Comfort and Insulation (OU) BL is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the supply chain including maintaining stocking levels in support of the customer service levels required by the business. The position is also responsible for maintaining inventory health, such as blocked stock activities including disposition, associated audits and cycle counts.

RESPONSBILITIES

• Manage and convert transfer orders for finished goods, intermediates, and raw materials at 3PL (depending on production inside BL or inside Segment Platform)

• Manage inventory, plan production and create POs for Custom Manufacturing sites

• Manage the alerts and inventory focused on a high service level / cost sensitive supply chain model.

• MP will manage the allocation plan in the event that a product must be placed on allocation. MP will also manage materials in their assigned lanes to address delivery blocks due to material shortages.

• MP will identify and escalate any potential at risk inventory to the Supply Chain Manager and coordinate the disposal of any such inventory if required.

• MP will manage any expedites required for their assigned plant(s), lanes and/or product lines within region and coordinate with other regions as needed.

• MP will work with Customer Service on ATP failures due to inventory issues

• MP may also support the complaint process with Corrective Action or Preventive Action development and responses.

• MP will maintain master data settings needed for the setup of new lanes/sites, capacities as well as inventory settings.

• MP will support associated audits related to the cycle count process and perform adjustments.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience

• Uses clear and effective verbal communications skills without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on expressing ideas, requesting actions, and formulating plans or policies.

• Supports business processes by understanding and effectively using standard office equipment and standard software packages, while executing on tasks and providing guidance as needed.

• Familiarity with managing global inventory using SAP is a plus.
