Job Responsibilities

  • Maintains and coordinates requirements from order entry to ASN to respective customers.

  • Receives processes and verifies the accuracy of orders from customers and customer purchase orders.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all materials are available to meet planned production schedules to meet customer demand. Communicates with suppliers to ensure timely arrival of material as scheduled.

  • Provides input into schedule development to ensure on-time order completion.

  • Initiates required action for response to customer requests for order changes including the maintenance of order information files and communicates changes to the appropriate personnel.

  • Receives inquiries from and/or contact the company's customers to resolve a variety of order-related issues.

  • Loads and maintains bills of material (BOM's) for the plant.

  • Maintains and updates routing instructions per customer.

  • Makes required changes/updates in MS8 system per production requirements, BOM's, relief files, etc.

  • Participate in engineering change implementation planning of component material. Allows a smooth transition of material flow, continued customer delivery and avoidance of excess or obsolete inventory.

  • Prepares, generates and distributes daily reports and order acknowledgments to appropriate personnel.

  • Prepares invoices and tests certificates for shipments of finished goods and customer samples.

  • Assists in APQP process with Quality Department.

  • Provides back-up support to other group members (i.e. Supervisor, Inventory Specialist) in the performance of job duties as necessary.

  • Reviews, develops, and implement policies to ensure effective completion of area functions.

  • Completes related documentation and cross-trains with other materials personnel as required.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience report to perform job.

  • One to three years of job-related experience required.

  • A material planning background with thorough understanding of planning principles.

  • Technical knowledge in the concepts and application of material requirement planning and inventory control

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and ability to work in a team environment.

  • Excellent computer skills (Notes, Word, Excel, Mainframe, and Statistical Software).

  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work to ensure daily workload is completed; to react and perform under stress and to exercise independent judgment in work environment.

Our North American is looking for a Material Planner for its Faurecia Clean Mobility Division at Louisville, KY. The role of a Material Planner is to verify that production line delivery aligns with minimum stock targets and logistics costs. The main missions of the role are to: * Build up the Procurement Program by dividing and leveling piece procurements * Engineering Change Coordinator responsibilities * Follow up the Procurement Program realization by managing alert systems and follow the unloading, receipt and transportation of pieces. * Follow supplier delivery performance (supplier Misdeliveries Per Million) and the service of logistics partners and propose appropriate improvement action plans. * Achieve the transportation program on a monthly basis and the transportation scheme semi-annually. * Direct packaging management. * Ensure that logistics conventions comply with purchasing objectives and support conditions set by suppliers for procurement and packaging and by logistics partners for transport and services. * Verify that Sales and Production Plan (PIC) capacity requirements can be supported by suppliers and implement corrective actions when necessary.
