The hiring team is looking for a Material Planner with 6-10 years of experience working in an operations environment responsible various elements of SIOP, 3-5 years in the area of production/manufacturing. Specific experience in Aerospace is a plus.

Experience and skills:

  • Working knowledge of SAP related to materials planning (or more generically, MRP experience)

  • Excel experience and knowledge is required

  • Understanding of operations finance

  • Data analytic skills (Excel, MS Access, and Tableau)

Job Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Build and support Inventory Input/output models

  • Improve Inventory optimization through correct MRP settings (Period of supply, Reorder points, Minimum order Quantities, rounding values.)

Demand Planning:

  • Build and support demand planning tools to track and manage demand

  • Build and support Forecasting Accuracy & Bias tools to improve forecasting

Production Control:

  • Thorough understanding of MRP and how it works for Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Finance

Capacity Analysis and Planning:

  • Build and support capacity planning tools based on gross capacity, and planned capacity

Ongoing site support (short term data needs)

JOB SUMMARY: Organizes and maintains materials necessary for manufacturing product. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Primary responsibility involves movement (physical and transactional) of production material from one location/process to another. Administrative and physical tasks in the stockroom, fab whse, paint and assembly areas as required. Pick and pull of materials using standard operating procedures. Maintain inventory accuracy levels by proper use of inventory transactions and documentation. Responsible for the issue of material and floor stock replenishment, cycle counts, material put away/pull. Qualifications ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. May be back up to other warehouse/production areas as required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Forklift experience preferred.
