Material Planner and Purchasing Technician - Union City TN
Execution in purchasing numerous commodities both domestic and international procurement of materials.
Knowledge in planning systems ( Material Replenishment Planning, Kanban).
Understanding of material information flow and process flow.
Experience in New Product Development.
Inventory management for annual and ongoing accuracy.
Cost analysis of materials.
Customer focus and proactive vendor relationships.
Lean manufacturing knowledge and principles.
Indirect / expense material purchasing and management.
Accurate and timely reconciling goods receipts and invoicing.
Education and experience requirements:
1.B.S. in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
2.Planning/purchasing experience or equivalent experience in a supervisory role.
3.APICS certification preferred, not mandatory.
4.Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
5.SAP experience strongly preferred.
6.Ability to work effectively & efficiently in a high volume, fast pace environment.
7.Demonstrated organization skills/ability to keep exact and detailed records.
8.Ability to work well independently as well as in a team-based environment.
9.Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary for building relationships, keeping others pro-actively informed.
10. Excellent sense of safety awareness and good housekeeping (5S)
