Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Fort Wayne Assembly on a full-time basis.

Must have flexibility to work any shift and overtime including extended hours and weekends.

The Role:

The Material Office Launch Coordinator ensures all pilot parts are on hand by each Body and General Assembly Material Required Date (MRD) and available for all pilot builds. This role requires daily interfacing with plant operations, quality and material teams/departments. You will be responsible for inbound pilot part tracking and inventory management/record keeping in Material Global Optimization (MGO) system. The work entails a number of involved administrative operations or technical duties with decisions made within the limits of general practices, standards and policies.

What You'll Do:

  • Participate and take the lead role in daily MRD calls with Material Office personnel, Future Material Availability (FMA) Lead, Engineering Program Manager, Design Engineers, Supplier Quality and Purchasing Leads

  • Communicate MRD status to Plant Management

  • Be knowledgeable of manufacturing processes and procedures

  • Be responsible for pilot part logistics management to ensure logistics and premium costs are under budget

  • Maintain accurate MGO inventory records

  • Validate inventory levels meet build event requirements

  • Follow launch Masterdot to plan and execute various launch activities

  • Attend required meetings

  • Coordinate rework or replacement of non-salable parts on saleable vehicles with support from other plant departments and product engineering

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

  • Previous manufacturing experience

  • Ability to work any shift and expected overtime
