The Material Handling Specialist is responsible for inventory control, loading and unloading trucks, picking and staging materials, and assisting our customers with their orders, palletizing freight and utilizing software to ship customer orders.
Report and/or correct safety issues. Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and surroundings.
Picking orders, preparing for shipment, packaging and staging while maintain quality of service.
Receiving inbound freight from vendors, staging, inspecting, counting and storing.
Loading and staging outbound freight on our vehicles and 3rd party carriers.
Keeping, counting and staging inventory for finished goods and returned items, replenishing raw materials according to production needs and staging product in identified locations.
Perform quality inspections/ counts on materials and finished product, quality checks to include, codes, products, labels and weights of raw materials and finished goods.
Follow procedures for isolating hold product or defective material.
One to two years of warehouse work experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Basic reading and math skills.
Ability to use scanners, computers and WMS software. Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.
Maintain and operate the following: forklift, reach, lifts and various equipment as required to OSHA standards.
