The operator is responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move and mount large truck bodies in a safe manner and free of damage. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle. Identifies and locates various production materials and supplies. Using a variety of methods (including forklift, carts and manually) moves and supplies materials to the production lines.
Reading and comprehending work orders, instructions and labeling
Moving and manipulation of various materials and supplies
Tape measure accuracy
Communication skills two-way radio
Read and sign for materials
Will require travel on public roads requiring employee to meet state licensing requirements
Material Handling equipment
Experience operating a forklift required
Ability to work as part of a team
Excellent communication & listening skills
Product knowledge required
Ability to learn and operate a basic handheld scanner
Motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexible hourswill require overtime, weekend work
Must have valid driver's license
Lift, push, pull and manipulate various sizes and shapes up to 50 lbs.
Sitting, standing, squatting, walking
Safety glasses with side shields
Steel toe or approved safety toe shoes
Ability to safely operate overhead lifting equipment
Other department/job specific personal protective equipment as required
High school diploma/GED or equivalent relevant experience
