Material Handlers are responsible for ensuring the required materials for each line are drawn from appropriate locations and set up, monitored, and made available throughout the production period or shift.


  • Knows and understands the material requirements (i.e. yarn, wire etc.) for each product being produced during the assigned shift

  • Coordinates with production personnel to ensure required materials are staged for upcoming production

  • Notifies Line Operator, or Supervisor, of any off-standard situations

  • Raw Material Handling and Staging (yarn, wire, stiff tape, etc.)

  • Finished Goods Handling

  • Reel building

  • Dunnage, trash, and other general clean-up

  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area

  • Displays attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate inventory

  • Follows all safety requirements for the position and all company safety guidelines

  • Completes appropriate paperwork to ensure accurate inventory transactions

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor to facilitate business demands.


  • Reading, writing, and mathematical competency testing required

  • Ability to read instructions for material requirements and specifications

  • Lift truck/forklift experience in manufacturing setting

  • Basic computer skills


  • Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance

  • Operating powered industrial equipment

  • Ability to spend up to 12 hours a shift on your feet around machinery

  • Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects


  • Manufacturing floor environment

  • Some work outside (emptying trash)

This is an Hourly, Non-Exempt production position in a rapidly growing piece of our business. This position has a base rate of $17.55/hr with a shift differential added for off-shift workers. SUMMARY OF FUNCTION: To maintain continuous high quality product from beginning of weaving process to completion of the product on reel. To assume a leadership role within the department and promote productivity and teamwork with associates. DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: * Load and maintain required amount of raw materials on reels * Know and understand different yarn types that are commonly used and their applications * Check and maintain lube levels in lubricator * Check and verify that weft and lockstitch are being properly woven into the product * Program the printers to print required message on product * Check and maintain fluid levels * Check and maintain print quality * Check and maintain measurement markings * Properly label and/or tag product as it is processed off of the printer * Operate wrapping pallets for completed product * Must be mechanically inclined and have ability to troubleshoot problems * Follow all safety requirements of this position * Abide by all policies and procedures in the associate handbook * Maintain a neat and orderly work area * Perform all other duties as directed by management EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: * High School diploma or GED * Mechanical aptitude, problem solving, * Ability to read measuring instruments OCCUPATIONAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance * Must be able to work 12 hour shifts including alternating weekends * Must be able to walk and stand on a concrete floor for long periods of time * Able to bend, kneel crouch, and reach overhead to load materials WORKING CONDITIONS: * Work in manufacturing environment * Non-controlled atmosphere- varying degrees of temperature Dura-Line is part of a community of companies, known as Orbia, bound together by a shared purpose: to advance life around the world.
