About The Role - Plant Operator / Material Handler (Upton, WY)

Orica is hiring a Summer season Plant Operator (Material Handler) who will execute the safe and efficient physical movement of products within the trans-load facility, maintain accurate stock, and perform the loading and unloading of goods from rail cars to trucks.

Seasonal Contract begins May 1st continuing to Sept 30, 2024.

What you will be doing

Material Handling

• Ensure load/unload areas are clean before end of shift.

• Ability to accurately document shipping weights and truck IDs.

• Movement of bulk materials

Physical Requirements

• Work Environment involves being outside in all types of weather.

• Sledgehammer work in summer heat in railcars

• Lifting up to 60 pounds and carrying 50 pounds or more of materials.

• Mobility needed for squatting and bending

• Ability to work holidays and weekends, steady work

What you will bring

• Construction and/or landscaping experience is a bonus.

• Railcar mover experience is a bonus.

• Ability to communicate and work in a team environment.

• Ability to prioritize various projects, ongoing daily tasks, and high priority situations to maximize efficiency.

Work Schedule

• Work Shift: flexible schedule includes Sat/Sun+ 3 weekdays

• Weekends and Holidays required

• Overtime possible, but not consistent
