Intermountain Blending & Filling is looking for a Material Handler to sample, inspect, and test raw materials, components, bulk intermediate materials, and finished goods to ensure they meet customers' quality standards. In addition, the individual in this position will ensure manufacturing lines are stocked with necessary materials to meet production needs.

This is a grave shift position, hours are 11:00pm-7:00am.

What You Would Do:

  • Perform AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) inspections (audits) of all finished goods

  • Perform evaluations on color, odor, appearance, form, and function of all finished goods

  • Perform pH, viscosity, specific gravity, and other laboratory testing as assigned

  • Perform in-process line checks for quality attributes such as weights, torque, seals, coding, and packaging.

  • Sample, inspect, and test all incoming raw materials and components

  • Communicate quality-related information to leadership

  • Participate fully in the continual improvement program, generating Items for Evaluation (IE) and safety near-miss reports

  • Work with QA management and Inventory Control Specialists to quarantine any questionable materials

  • Assist production personnel with understanding and meeting all product specifications by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)

  • Maintain consumable inventory material levels for production lines and Compounding

  • Transfer finished goods product from production lines to warehouse

  • Stock shelves with materials in production, compound, and pre-weigh areas

  • Proficiently and safely operate forklifts and electric and manual pallet jacks to move materials throughout the facility

  • Remove and dispose of cardboard from production area and use cardboard baler

  • Conduct Physical Inventory Counts (PIC) ensuring counts match inventory reports

  • Support workflow from production lines to warehouse by coordinating and organizing materials and finished goods

  • Work with Warehouse to correct inventory count discrepancies

  • Put away materials and finished goods in proper locations to ensure inventory accuracy

  • Utilize First-in, First-out (FIFO) when moving materials and inventory from one location to another

You Should Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2 years of experience in a quality assurance/control environment or comparable education preferred

  • Previous background working with AQL standards preferred

  • Experience operating a forklift and electric pallet jack preferred.

  • Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to read and understand basic inventory reports

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to efficiently perform multiple tasks

  • Ability to follow specified processes and detailed instructions

  • Ability to solve straightforward problems and seek guidance as needed

  • Ability to research, gather, and analyze information related to specific assignments

  • Ability to make decisions within a limited scope

  • Ability to integrate knowledge of basic concepts, principles, and theories of area of specialization

  • Read reports, computer screens, etc.

  • Basic knowledge of computers and all applicable software including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook), familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) a plus

  • Ability to work around strong scents and fragrance

  • Ability to discern scent and color hues

  • Ability to frequently bend, squat, stand walk, push and pull, reach above shoulder level, have both arms and legs accessible, and perform manual dexterity

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly on a daily basis

  • Ability to occasionally sit, climb, and kneel

  • Ability to frequently read and comprehend, write, perform basic mathematic calculations, communicate orally, reason, and analyze

Seeking an individual who is interested in teaching across all four years of the medical school curriculum. Experience teaching and working with students on rotations is a plus.</p><p>This position participates and assists the Department Chair and colleagues in the planning, directing and implementation of college programs, policies and procedures, and assists in the development and teaching of curricula which integrates the different specialty areas in team-based, large and small group learning environments.
