Standard M-F Schedule

Occasional Weekend (Saturday/Sunday) Production Work is Required at Times

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Move pallets to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, using powered lift, or other equipment.

  • Stage pallets, if necessary, before loading.

  • Attach identifying tags to pallets or mark them with identifying information.

  • Read hot sheets, Bill of Lading BOL or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.

  • Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported to the customer.

  • Perform inventory cycle counts.

  • Perform Safe Quality Food (SQF) cleaning as required.

  • Maintain storage areas to ensure that inventory is easily accounted for.

  • Use RF gun to ensure proper product placement and, track inventory.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Specific Safety Responsibilities:

  • Report any unsafe conditions that are encountered.

  • Report any injury or near miss to Team Leader immediately.

  • Do not perform a duty that appears to be unsafe without consulting a Team Leader.

  • Recognize hazards of the job and learn how to avoid them.

  • Follow BJAs and SOPs.

  • Observe all Safety Rules.

  • Wear safety equipment and protective devices as required: steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, cut-gloves, harness, etc.

  • Keep work area clean and uncluttered.

  • Conduct safe behavior observation on a weekly basis, 4 a month are required.

Specific SQF Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policy.

  • Every Pactiv Evergreen team member has a responsibility for ensuring the products we produce are safe and of good quality.

  • Personally act with behaviors consistent with achieving and maintaining Safe Quality Foods certification.

  • Behavior in the facility, and on equipment, shall not compromise the food safety goals.

  • Follow responsibilities for this job description on make-ready, start-up, or changeover/line clearance procedure.

  • Do not run unsafe product.

  • Support the goal of producing a food safe product by following all programs, policies, SOPs as well as GMPs.

  • Report and/or fix problem that creates a Food Safety Hazard.

  • Place suspect product on precautionary hold.

Specific Functional Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to accurately observe correct paths of travel and areas for product placement.

  • Must be able to communicate and exchange information with teammates.

  • Must be able to operate equipment including desktop computers and handheld devices, firmly grasp tools and machinery.

  • Climbing off and on forklift (height of 3 feet) for a minimum of 20 times per day.

  • Bending at the waist, squatting with legs and knees, stooping with neck and back, reaching with shoulders and arms briefly up to a couple times a day.

  • Looking over shoulder to right and left while reversing or driving backwards with product load up to 8 hours in one day.

  • Operate right-handed operating controls (little pressure required but frequent grabbing of controls

  • Sitting stationary on forklift for 8 to 12 hours

  • Changing battery (max. 3116lbs) using hoist; will require some upper body control of swinging battery (abdominals and shoulders) and grasping.

  • Looking up to 45 degrees tilting neck back when pulling orders, and putting pallet in racks up to 8 hours in one day.

  • Climbing up and down stairs

  • Driving over ramps and dock plates - some jarring to back up to 100 times in a day.

  • Restacking pallets of 48lb cases from floor to above shoulder height

  • Moving wooded pallets up to 50lbs by hand.

  • Sweeping warehouse requires walking 2-3 hours.

  • Cleaning outside warehouse requires bending over, sweeping, and picking up debris.

  • Going up and down ramps with forklift

  • Tagging pallets -placing tickets on pallets, reaching over shoulder height (about 6ft vertical)

  • Significant walking on concrete floor up to three hours in one day.

  • The team member is required to be able to perform the above tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand/walk constantly, sit/stoop occasionally, kneel/bend constantly, lift 7-39.9 lbs., push/pull 50+ lbs., bend/twist constantly and climb/ladders occasionally.

  • Functional English is required, including the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word, SAP and RF scanners required.
