Responsibilities

N1 shift (6:45pm

  • 7am) working a 2-2-3 schedule with every other weekend off.

PURPOSE: To safely transfer materials and products to and from the production area using a Power Industrial Truck/Forklift.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including, but not limited to, the following. Others may be assigned.

  • Reviews production orders and determines that correct packing materials are available at the line.

  • Takes the appropriate cores, corrugated boxes, tape and other materials to the lines so order can be completed.

  • Takes the finished product from the production lines to the pallet wrapper and wraps the product for the shipment.

  • Takes the wrapped product to the staging area; moves skids and pallets from outside the building to inside the building; places skids and pallets in designated areas.

  • Moves scrap filled gay lords to the recycling area and signs off on documentation; make sure that labels are followed according to work order.

  • Accepts responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements. And has the authority to report concerns that could impact these requirements or suggest areas for improvement.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.

  • Must have excellent attendance.

  • Must be proficient in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions.

  • Must be able to read a tape measure

  • Must have forklift experience/certification.

  • Must be available to work overtime as needed.

  • Must be able to work independently with some supervision.

  • Must have full understanding of Work-In-Process.

  • Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting/moving objects (up to 35 pounds periodically).

  • Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.

  • Must be able to perform all job duties in a safe and effective manner.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Regularly required to walk, lift and carry materials < 35 pounds (not repetitive), work in dusty conditions.

Work is close proximity to power granulating equipment with high decibel noise emission for extended periods.
