Position Description

The purpose of this position is to accurately transfer product, both physically and logically, into and/or out of warehouse locations, load/unload trailers, move product throughout the facility with powered industrial equipment and perform inventory counts as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required

  • Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted

  • Ability to input data into computer system

  • Work overtime as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions

  • Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer

  • Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered.

  • Pull orders accurately as assigned

  • Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location

  • Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process

  • Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures

  • May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipmen, perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned

  • Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery

Ensures adequate levels of material and/or product inventories are maintained. Responsible for evaluating inventory needs and implementing strategies to meet those needs. A level II supervisor has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day to day operations of the group. Essential to this Position Key Duties Responsibilities * Implement inventory management strategies to ensure that company objectives are met in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, cost and profitability * Direct staffing, training, and performance management to develop and improve inventory management function * Manage and track product inventories, providing direction on work in process, finished goods and aged inventories to assure financial reconciliation and inventory integrity * Conduct monthly SLA analysis and reporting * Drive overall product and material flow within site * Schedule and prioritize the daily activities including cycle counts, audits, damaged material management, and waste tracking and disposal * Champion continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management process and information flow * Oversee physical inventory and reconciliation of variances * Provide ERP /MRP system support to cross functional team members Essentials to Success * Minimum of 7 years of inventory control, shipping/receiving and warehouse management experience * Bill of Material, demand planning, inventory valuation skills and owning inventory counts required * Extensive warehouse management (WMS) experience * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Experience in GMPs and Standard operating procedures, methods and reporting as required * Strong working knowledge of a warehouse management system * Exceptional problem solving, math skills and computer skills * Excellent skills in multi-tasking and proactive thinking * Bi-lingual skills desired Education / Certifications Education Required High School Diploma or Equivalent Education Desired Bachelor's Degree Skills & Experience Work Experience Required Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience required About Menasha Packaging Menasha Packaging Companyis a leading designer and manufacturer ofgraphicconsumer corrugated packaging, merchandising solutions, food packaging, shipping containers, material handling solutions, and pack-out and fulfillment services.As the largest independent retail-focused display and packaging company in North Americawe set new standards in sustainable packaging, and our printing and structural design capabilities are unrivaled in the industry.
