Job Summary:A Material Handler II performs a wide range of basic duties to help maintain warehouse stock and assist in fulfilling orders, including loading/unloading trucks for shipping and receiving within a fast-paced work environment. All responsibilities must be carried out safely to provide customer satisfaction to our internal and external customers, as consistent with Makita's company values.   • Pick and Pack Parts including All Picking tasks. * Perform Desktop functions in the WMS systems.* RF Gun * Perform cycle counts and perform basic inventory functions. * Maintain compliance with all safety, security, and customer compliance procedures. * Maintain a neat, orderly, clean, and safe work area which may include, but is not limited to sweeping, dusting, trash disposal, and all other sanitation duties as assigned. * Should be flexible to assist in multiple areas of the warehouse based on business demand. * Perform all job functions in the shipping and receiving area. * Load and unload trucks. * Manifest and use the TMS System. * Perform validation processes on orders within the shipping department. * Forklift Certification REACH TRUCK EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS* ReplenishmentOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilitiesthat are required of the employee for this job. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers.TravelNo travel is expected for this position.Education and/or Experience DesiredHigh School Diploma / GED, or equivalent years of experience to exhibit the knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through completion of any of these requirements.1 - 3 years of experience in warehouse operations.Proficient ability to read, write, and communicate in English.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * Required to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. * Frequently required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. * Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. * Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. * Be able to push, lift, and carry 30-50 pounds of merchandise and fixtures. * While lifting boxes bend, twist, and turn while placing them into their appropriate place. * Able to be on their feet for at least 8 hours a day. * Ability to use power hand tools weighing up to 35 lbs. * Able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and ramps. * Continuously reach out to sort miscellaneous items. * Coordinate the movement of the body, arms, and legs while walking down aisles and carrying boxes of supplies. * Ability to work in an environment that is sometimes hot or cold, and subject to occasional load noises and/or hazardous conditions.DisclaimerThis description is based on management's assessment of the requirements and functions of the job as of the date this description was prepared.
