Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of files, logs, and records of packing lists, receiving inspections, and other related documentation.

  • Material handling of raw materials, completed assemblies, and finished product within a light assembly manufacturing facility.

  • Input and extraction of information from ERP computer system.

  • Application of sound judgment to make decisions concerning correctly pulling parts kits, storing inventory, bin identification, and packaging of finished goods.

  • Distribution of materials into kits for assembly operations, pulling and delivery of materials to internal customers in a timely fashion including engineering, service and production departments.

  • Daily receiving, inspection of incoming material, and storage of raw materials.

  • Final packaging of finished products.

  • Maintenance and storage of materials in an accurate, safe, and organized manner.

  • Active participation in cycle counting and physical inventory processes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Requires excellent oral and written communications skills, above average comprehension skills, knowledge of above average mathematical principals and computer/data entry skills.

  • Requires above average understanding of purchasing, manufacturing, and accounting principles.

  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments.Ability to learn and effectively utilize company provided software for the management of materials within manufacturing facility including, tracking purchases, receipt of materials, and return or replacement items.

  • Effective time management skills.

  • Ability to follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.


High school education or equivalent and two to four years related experience.

VIEW JOBS 12/13/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-13T00:00 Classification Title: Biological Scientist II Job Description: Conduct research in accordance with protocols and quality/safety standards * Culture and maintain potentially zoonotic parasites with careful observance of biosafety precautions * Carry out sterile cell culture, immunostimulation assays, flow cytometry, ELISA, PCR * Perform animal studies (e.g. mice, dogs, cats), including euthanasia if needed * Assist in diagnostic procedures, including fecal processing and tissue dissection Document, analyze, and report on research findings * Maintain accurate research records of methods, procedures, and results * Prepare and submit summary reports to supervisor * Assist in reviewing and interpreting experimental results; provide input for technical reports, research papers, etc. Manage laboratory operations * Generate budgets, track expenditures, and maintain detailed financial records * Order supplies and ensure adequate inventory on hand to carry out research * Generate and update freezer/sample/shipping logs * Generate standard operating procedures and chemical hygiene plan for the laboratory; periodically review and update as needed * Maintain laboratory, chemical, and biological safety compliance within the laboratory, including training of new personnel * Maintain equipment in optimal working condition and schedule annual service or repairs as appropriate * Serve as the laboratory's liaison to university personnel as well as external contacts (e.g. collaborators, sponsors, vendors) Assist with instructing undergraduate, graduate, and veterinary medical students in procedures and supervising their research Other duties as defined by supervisor Advertised Salary: $32,000 - $35,000 annually Minimum Requirements: Doctoral degree in biology or a closely related field; or a master's degree in biology or a closely related field and one year of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in biology or a closely related field and three years of relevant experience.
