SUMMARY

This position assists in properly handling materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and internal and external customer service for a given location within Amphenol CMT. Performs stockroom functions including production order picking, warehouse storage, packaging of finished goods, inventory control, supply documentation, data input, and material distribution and delivery as assigned per location requirements. Works with a team to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations within the facility.

Shift: 1st Schedule: Friday-Monday

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Proficient in all stockroom operations in the performance of required technical or routine operational tasks per company policies and procedures.

  • Assists in maintaining the flow of work and materials based on scheduled supplier deliveries, customer orders, and other internal or external delivery requirements according to established priorities.

  • Use a pallet jack, scales, or other machinery to disperse and move material. May be responsible for maintaining scale or other equipment calibration activities.

  • Prepare, mark, label, tag, and/or package materials or goods for receipt, storage, delivery, or shipment according to location or customer requirements.

  • Maintains a clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.

  • Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.

  • Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guidelines.

  • Generally knowledgeable and/or supports Lean Management (COS) and regulatory (e.g. ISO, FAA, ITAR, etc.) initiatives or requirements regarding shipping or receiving as applicable.

  • Assist with Shipping and Receiving

  • Other duties as required in support of the department and the company*

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Two (2) years of experience or more in warehouse, stockroom, or inventory control position(s).

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • A Forklift Operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift training program is required within the first 60 days of employment.

  • Possession of a valid driver's license and good driving record.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Conversational in any other language preferred.

JOB SKILLS

  • Sound knowledge of fundamental material handling processes as applicable including customer order fulfillment activities & packaging, inventory control and disposition, supply documentation, data and transactional management, material distribution and/or delivery, warehouse or stockroom control techniques, and cycle or physical counting.

  • Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast-paced, constantly changing, and ambiguous environment.

  • Demonstrates sound judgment when following through with priorities.

  • Ability to effectively to questions from managers and employees.

  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts for job-related situations.

  • Ability to handle interruptions and maintain focus.

  • Experience working with an RF Gun preferred.

  • Understanding and experience in a Lean manufacturing environment. Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S-related performance teams.

  • Writing skills are required to complete documents and forms.

  • Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands.

  • A team player who can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee will regularly engage in activities such as using hands to finger, handle, or feel and communicating verbally. Additionally, the employee will frequently need to reach with hands and arms while standing and walking as part of the role. Occasional lifting and movement of objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds may be required. This position also demands specific vision capabilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. According to ADA regulations, reasonable accommodation will be provided to ensure that individuals with disabilities can perform the job's essential functions.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.

  • Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.

  • Hearing protection in specific locations.

  • Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.

SALARY INFORMATION

In compliance with CA state law, the hourly range for this position is $18-20 per hour. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Amphenol CMT reviews factors such as but not limited to responsibilities of the position, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal pay equity, as well as market considerations when extending an offer.
