Material Handler II

Overview

The Material Handler II strives to exceed customer expectations by ensuring product is available to our customers in an accurate, salable, timely manner.

This position safely, accurately and efficiently complete tasks associated with order fulfillment. The Material Handler will ensure assigned jobs meet the overall goal of the facility by ensuring customer expectations are met.

Responsibilities

General Purpose:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Demonstrated above average performance in:

• Transacting all business in accordance with Patterson Companies business code of ethics and conduct.

• Align with Patterson Companies Purpose, Vision and Values statement.

• Perform all warehouse duties including picking, packing, receiving, counting and tracking inventory.

• Using assigned warehouse equipment/machinery to perform assigned job.

• Meeting/exceeding assigned performance metrics and KPIs.

• Helping maintain an organized, clean and safe warehouse.

• Handling all hazardous materials, pesticides, and prescription drugs according to the Company's processes/procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

Demonstrated above average performance in:

• Performing all work in accordance with Company Safety guidelines and procedures, with safety and regulatory compliance

• May train other team members on processes and procedures

• Perform outbound order functions which includes picking, packing and shipping in a safe, compliant manner.

• Perform inbound order functions with includes receiving, put-away and inventory control in a safe, compliant manner.

• MS Office, Shipping and proprietary inventory management software

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

Above average:

• Ability to safely and efficiently operate all warehouse/equipment machinery

• Ability to meet deadlines, cutoffs and budgetary requirements

• Organization and administrative skills

• Communication skills and ability to work effectively with and transfer knowledge to others

• Industry knowledge of overall warehouse operations

• Ability to work with minimal to moderate supervision

• Problem solving skills

• Computer skills with various applications

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED

• 3 years of warehouse experience

• Ability to read, write and count

• Comprehensive problem-solving skills

• Ability to meet deadlines and productivity goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Warehousing or Distribution knowledge preferred
