We are seeking a Material Handler II for 2nd shift. Please note that this is a temporary position through the end of December 2020 with the possibility of extension. You will organize and transport production and support material and equipment within the area of assignment. You may be required to use manual and powered material handling equipment and packaging equipment. This role has considerable physical demand consisting of frequent lifting or moving average weight material or occasionally lifting or moving heavy weight material in difficult positions. This role will also require use of and the ability to drive a box truck.

Job Functions:

  • Locate, pick, move and store material and equipment according to established procedures, both written and verbal.
  • Unload and store material in proper locations and perform receiving transactions.
  • Use material handling equipment such as hand and powered pallet movers, fork trucks and some powered packing equipment such as banders and shrink wrappers
  • Maintain proper documentation and records using various paper forms and computer systems.
  • Operate company box truck between company buildings.
  • Follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations. Maintain individual work area/equipment in a neat, orderly manner. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment/ tooling, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervisor. Count items and audit for package/ shipping damage.
  • Maintain necessary records as required. Moves material as necessary in performance of duties. Cycle count as scheduled
  • Obtain and maintain proper training for powered industrial trucks. Maintain daily logs.
  • Perform other duties as directed

Rate: $17.50/hr

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  • 1-4 years related experience and valid driver's license
  • Experience using scan gun, inventory control experience, and experience loading and unloading 53' box truck
  • Must have good comprehension of English language both orally and written

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of BIN transfers
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and in the moment

VIEW JOBS 11/27/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-02-25T00:00 <p>Alene Candles is seeking a Sample Lab Technician on <strong>2nd Shift </strong>to assist the lab in a temporary role<strong>.</strong> The Sample Lab Technician will be responsible for daily production and documentation of samples, color mixing, batch testing, and other tasks as required to meet customer needs and assure efficient and accurate lab production and quality control. The Technician reports directly to the Sample Lab Supervisor for daily responsibilities, but will be expected to respond to requests from other staff as appropriate and approved by the Vice President of Research &amp; Development.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul> <li>Reviews and follows sample production schedule and management direction to produce samples which meet customer quality and delivery requirements.</li> <li>Reads work order or formula to determine types and quantities of materials to be used; organizes components.</li> <li>Develops color mixing expertise to produce samples which match Pantone colors specified by customer.</li> <li>Plans daily activity to assist in producing lab samples for customers.</li> <li>Reports to Sample Lab Supervisor any sample production problems which may result in not meeting customer schedules.</li> <li>Maintains the Lab in a neat and orderly manner, and follows safe work practices.</li> <li>Follows all prescribed safety procedures and uses prescribed PPE.</li> <li>Must be available for overtime as required.</li> <li>May assist with other tasks such as: Receives and logs sample glass and fragrances sent to the lab by customers; checks to assure that MSDS sheets are provided for each item received into the Lab; assists with maintaining all areas of the lab and the lab equipment clean and orderly; takes on special tasks as assigned.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul><p><br></p><p>Rate: $14.00/hr</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>High School or equivalent with 6 or more months of relevant technical training received formally or on the job through work experience</li> <li>Must have the ability to work with precision scales and measuring devices, and instruct others in proper use</li> <li>Ability to use Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel for spreadsheets, Word for Windows</li> <li>Must have math skills sufficient for precise weight/volume calculations.
