The Materials Handler is responsible for prepping textbook materials, keeping track of inventory needs, and transporting textbook materials to sales presentations. The Materials Handler will be taking direction from the Field Sales Team and coordinating with other Materials Handlers to ensure timely delivery of and setup of materials for sales events.
Unpacking presentation bags and sample kits from boxes and prepping them according to Field Sales Team instruction
Maintaining organization and inventory of materials within warehouse
Moving bins of materials in and out of warehouse, vehicles, and school buildings across the state of Florida
Working with UPS/Fedex drivers to ensure deliveries are successful to warehouse
Transporting materials and setup of materials at sales events (inclusive of presentations, exhibits, conferences) as directed by Field Sales Team
Renting vehicles as necessary to transport large amounts of materials to sales events.
Moving materials across the state so extensive driving may be required depending on applicant's location
Other duties as assigned may include building folders with provided marketing, tabbing books, etc.
Skills & Competencies:
Well organized and detail oriented
Good at taking initiative with responsibilities
Experience in sorting and classification for warehouse storage preferred but not required
Flexibility in schedule needed in order to accommodate transportation of materials for daytime and occasionally evening events
Must have valid driver's license and have own transportation
Education & Experience:
Person must be able to lift and move 40-50 lbs
Person must be able to sit for extended periods with driving
Person must be able to stand and bend while holding 40-50 lb. boxes as this position requires the moving of those materials in and out of vehicles
