You will serve as a Material Handler in the NDW NAVFAC Material Branch of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.

You will receive, unload, and process incoming shipments.
You will assemble items into groups based on information shown on the receiving vouchers and, as required, segregate materials according to such factors as condition type of transaction or property class and route along appropriate processing lines.
You will determine which docking area is most convenient for off-loading purposes and see that the carrier is directed to the designated unloading point.
You will collect and deliver receipt dues in MAXIMO computerized operating system program.
You will operate van type trucks with gross weight of 7,000 to 8,000 pounds.
You will drive on scheduled and unscheduled trips to transport material and equipment.
You will operatre Material Handling Equipment (MHE), such as forklifts to mechanically load and unload materials.
You will occasionally operate a stake truck with a gross weight of approximately 16,000 pounds that is capable of carrying loads up to but including 4 tons.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
