Stock incoming PO receipts, cycle counting, picking work order kits consisting of various types of inventory including electronic components, PCBs, hardware, fabricated materials, etc. Other duties may be assigned with additional qualifications or as needed. Willing to train with the right individual with no experience.

Essential Qualifications:

Regular and predictable attendance required.

Ability to complete assignments verbally or written in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy. (99.8% min)

Proficient data entry and typing skills required.

Dead lift or maneuver up to 50 lbs and manipulate items in excess of this using appropriate material handling equipment and or teamwork.

Effectively operate / use pallet jacks, ladders, carts and standard material handling equipment including transport carts.

Complete assignments by verbal or written instruction, maintaining excellent accuracy under time constraints without continuous supervision.

Work flexible overtime to meet customer and manufacturing schedules including weekends and or holidays as needed.

Experienced Qualifications:

Working knowledge of RoHS (restriction of hazardous substances) and ESD (electro-static discharge) requirements desired.

Experience with computers, Inventory MRP systems and working knowledge of MS Office software (Excel, Word, etc).

Experience with documenting and providing solutions for process related discrepancies and improvements.

High school diploma or (GED)

Language Skills

Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Mathematical Skills

Ability using calculators, to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply and practice common sense to instructions, assignments and common industry situations. Ability to resolve basic issues or problems with practical knowledge and or experience related to this position.

Work Environment

Casual, warehouse, walking, standing in place for short periods, exposure to elements while transporting materials on occasion.

VIEW JOBS 12/28/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-28T00:00 Material Handler Overview The Material Handler is responsible for picking, packing and shipping material, tools, equipment, and products to The Tile Shop stores and customers while maintaining a clean, neat, safe and orderly work area. He/She must also have the ability to manually move and lift 50 lbs regularly and frequently up to and over 100 lbs and work scheduled shift. Responsibilities * Use wireless RF device or desktop computer to perform all Bar Code functions, including but not limited to the following: pulling, putting away, shipping confirmations and inventory lookup. * Select pick ticket to determine items to be picked, packed, palletized or shipped. * Lift, move, sort or place pallets, boxes and items from bin locations to staging areas, build areas, pallets or crates. * Ensure inventory and labeling accuracy for item or location being picked, packed, palletized, shipped or put away to or from. * Securely band and/or wrap pallets and crates in a timely fashion. * Load and unload trucks. * Complete all paperwork properly such as the breakage/damage list. * Participate in cycle counting program as needed. * Use computer systems and programs to print documents and labels and perform inventory transactions. * Proper use of equipment, including but not limited to the following: sit-down forklift, order picker, reach truck, 2-wheeled cart and pallet jack. * Inspect equipment to maintain good working order. * Maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment including wearing safety equipment (steel toed shoes, etc.) as required. * Work in other departments as needed. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED. * Ability to read and write in English. * Strong work ethic. * Forklift, reach truck, and order picker certification or willing to be certified. * Basic organizational, mathematical, and computer skills. * Knowledge of proper safety measures. * Ability to manually move and lift 50 lbs regularly and frequently up to and over 100 lbs. * Ability to work at varying heights. * Ability to stand frequently as well as the ability to walk, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places and outside weather conditions.
