Under direct supervision, handles and maintains the flow of materials and products on the premises according to established guidelines.

  • Physically handles materials used to construct components and finished products to ensure movement of such items is optimized; lifts, carries, stacks items as needed.

  • Operates motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment, some of which may require specialized training.

Requirements:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

This is a entry level position where the incumbent will receive on-the-job training.

  • Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds.

  • May be required to perform specific tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing or kneeling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Piping field verification, layout, cutting, and preparation for welding\. + Generate & interpret isometric drawings\. + Determine correct material grade, line class, and specifications for various piping systems + Set up, bolt\-up, and perform hydro tests\. + Determine correct type of pipe supports from isometric drawings\. + Work with different types of rigging and determine correct rigging configurations\. + Determine correct rated rigging for load being hoisted\. + Able to work a minimum 12 hour shift daily\. + This position has no supervisory responsibilities\. + Other duties as assigned\. Qualifications Minimum Requirements + High School Diploma or GED equivalent required\. + Minimum five \(5\) years of experience as journeyman pipe fitter required\. + Must be proficient with hand and power tools\. + Experience with lifting and setting of heavy lift pipe spools, pumps, motors, and structural pipe supports\. + Experience and skill in piping craft in an industrial setting + Excellent verbal and written communication with positive interpersonal skills\. + Knowledge of Victaulic, HDPE Fusion, ABS and Carbon Steel piping\. + Knowledge in P&ID interpretation, mathematics, triangulation of complex offsets\.
